[Audio Fixed] Rick Strassman MD, author of DMT: The Spirit Molecule, interviewed by Graham Hancock

We apologise for the audio problems that some viewers experienced on some devices with the original upload of this video (see here: • Rick Strassman MD, aut... ). In this revised upload those audio problems have been fixed.
In his first public appearance for several years, Rick Strassman shares the background, performance, and interpretation of his 1990s groundbreaking research at the University of New Mexico. In this series of experiments-the first new American clinical research with psychedelic drugs in a generation-dozens of human volunteers received hundreds of doses of DMT, one of the most powerful psychedelics known to science. The story of his research project, published as DMT: The Spirit Molecule, raises intriguing questions about the mysteries of consciousness and the hidden nature of "reality." Here, Rick discusses his own continually evolving understanding of the DMT phenomenon. Also discussed are Rick's more recent works, DMT And the Soul of Prophecy, and his first novel, largely autobiographical in nature, entitled Joseph Levy Escapes Death.

Bless both of you for not only your research but for forming and maintaining your personal beliefs and sticking to them. Sad how far society has seemed to digress.. Nikolai Tesla once said " technology does not always mean progress!" This holds truer every day in modern society and culture. Thank you Hancock! Thank you Strassman! May our amnesia be cured if only we can open our eyes. 🤔

I had a NDE at 17, and then smoked 5-MEO DMT at 36. The ONLY difference is that during the NDE, I was greeted and taken through the tunnel by my great grandfather and other dead relatives. At the beginning of the DMT experience, I was taken through the tunnel by two unknown spirits. Otherwise, both experiences were identical: The enormous figure after the tunnel ride ended, the life review, the learning to communicate by using my light body to reform into shapes that any onlooker could read instantly - everything was just the same after the tunnel for both. DMT is the chemical gateway; it lets the consciousness break free from the body...which is why, in mouse models, it's shown to enter the brain (its synthesized in the lungs) more during sleep. There's a reason we usually don't remember the majority of our dreams...we're not in our body.

This is a fantastic conversation. I've read both of your books. I have a lot to add. Graham described the perfect DMT/UFO in Supernatural where the trance-dance Africans go visit the "metal wells" in the sky. I had a 45 min death experience, (not near death as they put a sheet over my face and told my mom to make funeral arrangements) and it wasn't anything like the psychedelic experience, which I had before and after. No tunnel, or loved ones, just me arguing with angels for 45 min. There's more but... To extend and control the DMT experience, get spearmint leaves. Clean and crush the leaves for a joint, a small tooth pick/ jail joint. Use 1/20th to 1/10th of a gram DMT and mix it well with the leaves. Light carefully, take small hits and count them. Take 4 hits and wait about 5 min. If you're where you want to be wait, if not take 2 to 4 more hits. When you attain your desired effect enjoy. When you feel your coming down take more hits if you want to maintain the same level of high. Stop hitting when you want to come down. I've maintained continuous highs this way for hours. The spearmint amplifies the DMT a bit but also kills that nasty DMT taste. Tora: don't think Moses was on any external DMT. Manna came way after the burning bush. Graham has pointed out acacia wood, used in the Ark of the Covenant and other Bible constructs, is loaded with DMT. Psychedelic visions, NDE and spiritual visions are totally distinct and differ from each other greatly, at least in my experience. However I did have a prophetic vision on psilicibin that all the points came true...so far. It predicted the 2nd war in Iraq among a lot of other events. Still waiting and watching for the final parts. Got a lot more. Wish I could sit and talk to you guys. Rick is a gem. Happy Chanuka if he ever reads this. Graham did an awesome job in creating Luke. The Dynamic Duo. You guys rock, all of you. When I said both of your books I mean Graham and Rick's. Thanks. Lvya. Shalom

Because they are not suppose to help us on this 3rd dimension. We are here to figure that out for ourselves. We are here to learn and experience what our mission and purpose is. Basically we have to remember what that is, and it starts with a conscious awareness of oneself. When we realize that we all have the power in ourselves than we will stop giving it away to others so they can have control of us.

1:20:00 doing too much research before during air will create an artificial experience that will like all of the awe that you would experience having gone there spontaneously. I remember the first serious trip that I took and I remember coming down mid-sentence in a room full of laughing people who I'd never seen before, in a small trailer I had never been to before, with my friend who I was with before I tripped. I'm talking about I was the life of the room oh, everyone thought I was the greatest and wanted me around and wanted me back. And this was happening in base reality, or what we think is base reality. But I had no conscious or self-awareness of this realm during that time. I had gone somewhere else and was having a spiritual enlightening experience, almost as though something else possess my body while I was up there an entertained of the people who I was around. I asked my friend, who didn't trip, what all I had done, cuz we're talkin about hours that I have no recollection of. We're also talking about waking mid-sentence, and then forgetting what to say and kind of getting quiet. It's the strangest thing. He said what had happened was I went to sleep in the car and they kept waking me up. So it wasn't as though if I was left alone I wouldn't have just gone and had this trip and appear to be asleep. My physical body actually got up at their trying to wake me up, but I was still in this other realm, my conscience was. The key is though, everything they told me that I've been talkin about or things that felt so foreign to me, but people were enthralled and so fascinated by whatever it was I was talking about. The next morning I told my friend about what happened, cuz in his mind I was just hi. I told him that I had no conscious recollection of any of it and that I woke up mid Sentence and he couldn't believe it. Though he did I think that what I was talking about was out of character. But the trip was completely unexpected, I was planning on just having a buzz hanging out with some friends. And I end up taking a journey that changed my life forever. Because despite whatever was the speaking through me in the base reality, beatings were guiding me through the DMT realm as they call it, and basically enlightening me to the point that when I came back And woke up mid-sentence, I was a new person who was enlightened All my Stress and Anxiety went away any depression I was feeling. Now the longer you're away from that Realm the more of those negative things creep back on to you. But I feel like that is what the gnostics experienced that led them to believe that this world was a prison of the Soul. That negative energy took over the face reality of this world and was holding our spiritual selves prisoner Then experiencing the other Realm and reaching that level of understanding made all of the things that I cared about so much in my life seems so insignificant. I don't know if anyone else has had an experience like that, please let me know if you have. because maybe that could give me a little more understanding of what exactly it was that happened that night. I can pick another handful of times that something similar happened, just not with as much company witnessing what my body was doing.

We KNOW in that 5k yr old indian sacred texts that the brahmans (?) banned soma (?) we can only speculate why. my thought was to enhance their position of authority. Also, if everyone is talking to the gods etc, who's version do you trust? i wonder if meditation etc was the substitute once the drug soma was banned? Maybe the tibetans etc didnt agree with banning soma, but were dependant on it being made in india n thus developed other ways to reach enlightenment im probably wrong, but i kinda like the idea

I know this is just an anecdotal evidence, but feel free to add this as a scientific datapoint - but SWIM has done 8/9 doses every - who knows for sure, but as soon as one ends and SWIM was capable to add more to the pipe, he went again... Every (other) day for maybe couple of weeks (or months) - and confirmed - no tolerance. The only (perceivable) side effects were: -Consciousness boot/shutdown animations changed (started and ended as a three-headed visual-echo) -If SWIM sat and stared at the sun with his eyes closed for a bit, SWIM could have a low level (free;) closed eye visual DMT trip, that ended as soon as SWIM opened his eyes... the smile would not, though... -SWIM had a suspicion that he miscalculated his landing once, and landed in another dimension, which was exactly the same, but highly ironical -- *Other notable findings. Nitrous oxide if administered during the initial landing phase, can boost one up back into a full blown mid-level DMT trip for at least +5/8 min. p.s. it has been several years, for quite a few of them SWIM even always had some at home - did maybe once or twice himself, the rest was given away to willing guests of the house. So no cravings either wonderful discussion, beautiful minds. thank you

1 hr 7 mins, Graham basically asks what I've been wondering, "Why are we talking about ancient Judaism in relation to DMT?". I really really wish I could understand the answer. Eyes on wings, whooshing sounds, and water is just not a strong enough connection. I immensely respect Dr. Strassman's scientific work but can anyone clarify the reason for the selection of hebrew texts as a relevant reference point to explain entity communication? I worry this is a fallback theory after the disclosed schism with Buddhism.

Let's take the Manna for example.... which Moses had the followers in the exodus eat, to talk to "god". It says that the manna could be found in the morning dew in the grass, it looked like a round button, and if you didn't eat it quickly it would get infested with worms and be bad. Well, mushrooms are round, grow in the grass after rainfall, and are full of worms within a couple days as they rot. Psychedelic shrooms contain DMT. What else could the bible possibly be talking about? The clues are everywhere, but the language and words have been changed. Peace....

@@rinu3989 thanks, I have heard the mushroom manna connection before, and that's a reasonable example of an ancient reference. But I disagree that mushrooms contain DMT. It's a different molecule, although similar. And I consider talking to God to be different then the normal usage of 'entity experience'. Strassman seems to reference angels a lot. But appreciate the reply.

@@ericm966 No problem. Yeah, I thought mushrooms had dmt, don't know where I read that, maybe i misheard, but I just looked it up and you're right. Well regardless, countless people have experienced contact with entities on psychedelics. Me and some friends included. LSD, DMT, mushrooms, cactus (mescaline), etc.... Many different ones, same stories. Still doesn't discount the fact that the bible clearly shows people eating mushrooms to talk to "god". I think that throughout history people have thought that they are really experiencing one all knowing being they call "god", when in reality, an alien or 2 or a few will be what they are perceiving. But since people don't know entities exist, they think it's some almighty god that they encountered. Peace.

Hello to all and thanks What I, like some i met, have experienced without ever searching for it , visions, predictions, so called kundalini, real telepathic talk from brain to brain , in real time without ever meditating, without drugs, bliss, etc etc tells that science so analyses so thought will never uncover anything in the matter of what is not practical and matter as it is exactly thought which is preventing those other capacities to function.., and thought so sciences so most scientist hate that fact and try to negate it..is my view, probably as usual apart from exceptions , but then not acting as scientist but as a human..science like thought is a tool thinking it is the end or even the creator nowadays , .. What has possibly produced such event in my case is potentially there for anyone on earth, it is about some ability which must be discovered by oneself to properly live what we call suffering so frightened of it we are..to be frightened means to run away, the root of what we call fear, fear is a non word in my view as it describes nothing, using running away, escaping etc instead would help ... Drugs may help , I have no doubt about that so using them is fine ...so I say..I do not use them .. But to go beyond thought without be willing to go beyond thought as whatever will take place will still be of thought so in conflict as desire is always a conflict , so far only sure some drugs may help and sure suffering lived as it has to be which is to leave it entirely untouched as in fact there is no suffering on one hand and me the observer on the other hand , may produce an awakening not search for of our other capacities...Adam and Eve as an hermetic allegory talks about that.such vision was there one day, it speaks of the mental of mankind and of the time when we took the wrong turn, leaving a mental sort of heaven due to a full working brain with all capacities turned on, for hell, created by thought working now on its own , thought which is totally incapable to touch what is beyond itself of course...etc etc etc..and is just tool, yet vital of course, but just a tool for practical matters, and all what thought can do when it is overwhelmed by its own created suffering and sorrow ,fear etc etc is to shut up...the suffering will act by itself as a catalyst, then things will takes place eventually as they wish...it is entering an uncharted sea in that direction...etc

If you have ever seen someone take to much n20 and pass out their lips turn blue. I think nitrous gives a near death experience. And it would seem that this woukd cause DMT to be produced. I remember one time i had alot of nitrous and i had a realization of god and the answers to the big questions. I came out of it and said " i know the secrets of the universe!" And before i could explain it was tsken from me. It felt like i tricked the system and then got busted shoplifting the answers. This was way before i tried DMT. But still it is one of the most profound experiences in my life. So what do you think? Could n20 trick our bodies into thinking we died enough to produce DMT?

I don't think calling those Buddhist monks hypocrites was a very responsible comment. They had experiences of psychedelic states before yes, maybe, but they moved on to something else. I doubt Strassman was trying to convince Rabbiis to take DMT when he went back to Judaism! That's hypocrisy. Anyway, there are plenty of lineages and schools of Buddhism where almost anything can be used as a tool, if you've developed enough which is rare ... but even those tools are to be discarded otherwise you are only fostering attachment and reliance which they teach actually keeps you from the real thing, everything else being simply glorified dreams, including DMT experiences. Illusions are necessary tools but you can't enter a "religious" system simply to inflict your own techniques on something you don't understand.... it is right he was asked to leave, but it doesn't mean he cannot be a Buddhist as he said, it means he cannot be a monastic in that particular lineage. Amazing someone studying Buddhism that long cannot grasp the very basic of the basic.

Depends on your definition of "taking you there". I maintain that the transfer of information from the DMT space (plus a couple of other neurological requirements) into the brain is the only essential requirement for transfer into the other reality. The technology I've developed with Rick (as he discussed) will allow you more than a glimpse, but an extended sojourn with the opportunity for stable communication and exploration. Whether we should be there or not is a different question, but the entities more often welcome the tripper and offer guidance than push them away...

Andrew Gallimore I’m going to check out your channel in a moment and if there’s regular content on it, I’ll definitely be subscribing. Graham is a dear friend and was for all intents and purposes my Mentor guiding me thru planning my first visit to Peru to listen to what La Madre had to tell me thru Ayahuasca. For such an incredibly busy man, his kindness and empathy for others is so very deep. (If you’re reading this Graham, thank you!) ;) So I have a question for you Andrew - what if these “entities” (I myself never met/experienced any on my own journey thru several Ceremonies, but do not dismiss the accounts of those that have), DON’T want us there for an extended period of time? What if [over many hundreds of years] they are imparting (I resist using the word “implanting”) pieces of a larger puzzle within each of us that to be solved, means working together as a singular human race? Food for thought... 💭

The full picture can be gleaned from my book, Alien Information Theory www.amazon.com/gp/product/1527234762 www.buildingalienworlds.com/book.html In fact, I discuss in great detail exactly what you're talking about (i.e. that they are imparting information as part of a larger puzzle or "game"). Of course, we need to be cautious, but I don't think we should abandon the enterprise because there's a possibility they don't want us there. I think it's far more impolite and presumptuous to burst into their realm for 5 minutes and then leave again before they even get a chance to communicate with us. My position is that we should bring our best tools to the table, develop DMT as a technology in the best way we can. And that doesn't mean simply smoking it from a glass pipe. If we really want to take these entities seriously then we can and must do better, which is what I'm trying to do...

I think the "other" reality is a part of this physical reality but of a higher frequency. I think DMT is a molecule that is a standing wave that attaches itself to receptive structures in the body by means of a resonant attraction to those structures or possibly just the Pineal gland which seems to be the single place in the body where images are created or received that are not visual through the eyes. It seems to me that all information that we are capable of receiving is entirely dependant on the resonant vibration of receptive structures in the body which are all in themselves standing waves that receive transmitted waves or photons. I think the structure of the receivers of transmissions change in each moment and our shaped primarily by the frequency that emanates from the Heart, as vibration shapes all liquid structures and all structures are as liquid whether called plasma or superfluid or electron cloud. The frequency of the Heart is set by our choice of emotion with Love being the frequency that receives the most useful information and seems likely the only frequency that can receive information from higher dimensions but it also seems likely that there is a "there" that is beyond all dimensions in the physical realm and can never be fully understood in the physical. It seems likely that the Sacral Cerebral pump boosts the signal from the Heart to the mind as the boosts the signal from the Sun to the Earth. I believe that the Great Pyramid is by far the most important structure that exists as far as mankind is concerned. It seems extremely likely that it's design gives the basis for the exchange and transformation of all energy and information in this reality as perhaps an idealic version of the electron transfer chain found in the mitochondria of our cells which coincidentally is a sympathetic or I would say cooperative parasite that is a separate organism from it's host. The Great Pyramid may also be a hybrid of the electron transfer chain and the Cerebral Spinal fluid system of the body where the subterranean chamber is the Sacral Cerebral pump producing waves of cavatation like the heart does(John Cadman's idea), the Grand gallery is the spine or Jacob's ladder and has seven levels that narrow from the bottom to the top possibly transforming one frequency into 7 harmonic frequencies like the energy centers of the body, the sarcaphagus held a device that acted as a capacitor charged by the flow of electrons around it perhaps the Arc of the Covenant I might as well say, supposedly it's the right dimensions. The free standing granite slabs above the King's chamber built with consider effort as they don't support any weight apparently so they could vibrate freely like the enzymes in the matrix of the mitochondria or the ganglion that surrounds the Pineal or maybe even DNA..., Christopher Dunn suggests that the vents leading to the Queen's chamber were used to add chemicals for a reaction I think he said like a battery but I think it was more like glands adjust fluids in the body with hormones which are standing waves that create particular attractions like I mentioned about DMT. The slabs would pull the electrons from the protons in the chemically adjusted and magnetically charged by geographic location on a lay line and perhaps create a pressure gradient as is, I would say theorized, in the electron transfer chain by placing more protons on one side of a boundary than the other, I think the interior is called the matrix but I haven't thought of the reasoning for having the pressure gradient created by the Pyramid but no matter. The Great Pyramid has 8 convex sides that are only visible supposedly in the morning and evening of the Spring equinox which I believe is the beginning of what was considered as the flood season and is supposedly when the sun sets between the Great Pyramid and Khafre's pyramid as seen from the focal point of the temple doorway in front of the Sphynx.

  • @imaginaryuniverse632

    @imaginaryuniverse632

    5 жыл бұрын

The Sun between the Pyramids is a depiction of the God self(I saw on Sacred Geometry Decoded) which is in my opinion the rising/merging/marriage of the male and female energies in the body which I think is as the flood and the beginning of the sweeping away of what has served it's purpose and the leaving of fertile ground to be planted in the season of planting. I've seen several Egyptian paintings showing a boat with steps or building blocks then the planting and then and then the boat reappears above with different occupants that could represent the God self and the ends of the boat change from serpents to other things that I couldn't tell what they were but no longer serpents. The convex sides of the Great Pyramid are as the convex sides of the skull which are theorized to flex with the pressure produced primarily by the Sacral Cerebral pump which is very much like the flexing of the tetanic plates. The Tesla tower at Wardenclyffe was almost certainly designed using the same concepts. I had heard of something about filling the Pyramid with water and saw John Cadman's thoughts about a pump and thought that it was total nonsense and that filling the Pyramid with water made as much sense as filling a house with water. Just before New year's I happened to watch a 5 minute video about the electron transfer chain in my investigating ideas about cheap energy after watching a video on photosynthesis and as I was watching the video I began to see in my mind a video that played over the one I saw with my eyes that showed waves pushing up from the bubbling water and vapor pushing against the geometries of the boundaries above it and felt that this action was a process that moved increasingly towards a steady rhythm. I noticed one day sitting under the carport after receiving advice to observe my thoughts that negative thoughts accompanied by strong emotion begin to rapidly attract thoughts of a similar emotion without any need for effort on my part, no need to look through my memories like searching through file cabinets but rather they just presented themselves as though I had a secretary to find them. The moment I realized this I began to see a video of a black hole in the void of space pulling in energy that appeared as it converged into inwardly spiraling currents. I believe that the most important thing to understand about how the Universe works is that it's a resonance of attraction that is the basis for all Creation and it's our choice of emotion today that forms the world around us tomorrow. I tell as many people about my thoughts on these kinds of things as I can that I think might listen because I don't think I can figure out exactly what to do with these ideas or even if there is anything for me to do. So I tell people who might and I pray and wait for intuitive thought or inspiration and try to act as though I have called all that I see. Namaste.
