I demonstrate how to use the Audio Emphasize effect in Camtasia to create a ducking effect, which automatically adjusts the volume of background music when speech begins, making it less overpowering and ensuring clear audio for speech parts in videos.
The tutorial covers how to apply the effect to a speech track, adjust its settings like emphasis percentage and ramp type, and manage its effect during silent sections or when music should return to full volume.
This feature is especially useful for creating professional-quality tutorial videos with background music, documentaries, and so on. The audio emphasize effect has plenty of customizations and it works largely automatically once you apply it to the voice track. It "protects" that voice track from any other sounds that may be playing on the timeline at the same time.
