Audio Book "The Green Mile" by Stephen King Part 1 of 3 Read by Frank Muller Unabridged Serial

Contains Audiobooks Parts 1 & 2
Part One: "The Two Dead Girls" They were sisters, and the picture-perfect image of innocence. No one understood their brutal deaths, not even the man who killed them. But John Coffey is about to gain a new insight, about his life in prison, and about the one man who will walk him down that green mile . . . . toward destiny.
Part Two: "The Mouse on The Mile" Cold Mountain Penitentiary has been home to many troubled souls. E Block, where the electric chair waits for those who must pay the ultimate price, has been home to the most troubled of all. And here, not all the evil is behind bars. Sometimes it carries a gun and wears a badge. Cold Mountain is a place of the damned, but it can also be a place where salvation comes from the most unlikely source.

Several of these audiobooks, which were converted from audio cassette tapes into digital Mp3 files are over 30 years old. Some of the cassette tapes had to be taken apart and spliced back together, which can be a very delicate procedure. Just a little something I thought I would do so I could salvage these particular works and share these with others before the tapes and tape players deteriorated completely and before the world of analog recording becomes completely obsolete. Most are not true books because they are abridgements. When I first started collecting these audiobooks, unabridged books on tape were either very rare or extremely costly. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit.

ANYBODY would cry over Johns death. When he said "I'm tired boss. Tired of being on the road, lonely as a sparrow in the rain. I'm tired of ppl being UGLY to each other" I lost it. He could feel all that all the time. He was innocent and had to suffer like that. It hurt me to my core.

My Dad and I were both huge Stephen King readers and when The Green Mile first started coming out, we loved it, too! Waiting for every instalment of the Serial was both a torture and a thrill. Each as equally delicious as the other. And when the movie came out, it did not disappoint either. Thank You for the added pleasure of now experiencing this collection in the form of an audiobook! On to the next adventure!

Frank Muller is no doubt perfect for SK. He did The Mist, too. I used to get the audiobook all the time from the library when I was a kid. Still my favorite short. Anyways, it's hard to find. I've come across it once or twice but it always disappears. I believe it was a Skeleton crew cassette clamshell set.

My favorite Frank Muller read is, The Night Flyer. Then would have to be the Dark Tower series. He’s the best.

@@triumphrider6836 Yeah, you don't hear much about The Night Flier, movie is good too. Hate to say I haven't started the Dark Tower books yet. I'm 43, so I should probably get in them lol. I really prefer Kings work that leaves the supernatural element to a minimum/or not at all(Survivor Type, Gramma, Dolores Claiborne, Shawshank, Misery). Just feel it's his better stuff. Not saying I don't love stuff like Pet Semetary, IT, The Mist, etc, don't get me wrong.

Frank Fuller was the narrator for a lot of Stephen King's books when this book was put to audio. I like his voice. He does a great job.
