Audio Book "The Silence of The Lambs" by Thomas Harris Read by Kathy Bates 1988
Ойын-сауық
(Abridged) Listen to the Silence. . . An instant classic novel of chilling psychological suspense. . . a critically-acclaimed audio production of unforgettable intensity. . . From the tormenting words of the homicidal maniac Dr. Hannibal Lecter and the flesh-rending depravity of an elusive killer to the sheer courage of a young F.B.I. novice, who risks her life to track him down and stop the bloodshed, experience the ultimate terror of an audio masterpiece.
The majority of these audiobooks, which were converted from audio cassette tapes into digital Mp3 files are over 30 years old. Some of the cassette tapes had to be taken apart and spliced back together, which can be a very delicate procedure. Just a little something I thought I would do so I could salvage these particular works and share these with others before the tapes and tape players deteriorated completely and before the world of analog recording becomes completely obsolete. Most are not true books because they are abridgements. When I first started collecting these audiobooks, unabridged books on tape were either very rare or extremely costly. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit.

Out of this world narration. I’ve listened to the full Audible version a few times and yet there were passages here I did not remember at all. Oh Kathy, a full version from you would be a wonderful gift to the world of audiobooks. Thanks for the upload!!
Keep listening as it is outstanding vocally and the writing is such a classic. What a gem to have Kathy Bates & Thomas Harris. I always notice the first-class audiobooks get taken down quickly so listening until
Omg Kathy Bates!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
Nice one Dennis 🤙
Thank you algorithim!!
The narration from Kathy Bates really brought this book to life in my mind (albeit disturbing but vivid--I respect that)
Incredibly well crafted Kathy Bates is great at creating the characterisation of the dialogue, creating a realistic variation from Starling to Hannibal
Impressive narration. Kathy is a master of interpretation.

Interview with the victims best friend, Kathy Bates nailed the gum chewing vacant best friend.

Dolores was my first audio book and I still consider it the best due to the reader. I don’t recall her name but she played the part of Cliff’s mother on Cheers.
Hello... very enticing.
Every time she says “School” or talks in a southern accent she sounds just like her character in The Waterboy
Decent reading but the text is seriously abridged - tons of atmospheric description tossed out, including Harris' chilling description of Hannibal. Really poor.

Damn. I hoped this was being read word-for-word. I am reading the book now for the fifth time, so it would annoy me to have ANY word missed out.

@@BobCob-ug3el Afraid so. It's all focused on the dialogue. More like a radio play than an audio book - Anthony Hopkins has a reading on here, 6 hours long, really special.
