I own the Audient ID44 and i am blown away with the quality of the ID44! I can only imagine how awesome this piece is!. I have multiple monitors (Neumann & Adams) along with a sub. and have been racking my brain as to how i could effectively marry them both to my sub! Well....now i know! As usual... VERY, VERY, Very..... nice video! Keep the awesome content coming! I am enlightened every time i watch!

Looks like a great unit. I wish these companies would make something cost effective that offers remote input panel so there are not all those cords routed on the desk.

Wow, that device is really handy! I always have been struggeling with all the other controllers out there. There was always one feature which was missing in one device, but which had the other one and vice versa. Finally, that controller looks like a piece of gear that fits all needs. Hi Warren. Really great video! Is it possible to turn the TB on and off with a foot switch?

This does not have a crossover right? Would that not an issue when using multiple pairs of speakers with a sub?

why didnt u show how it goes thru the monitors sets? is is going smooth, just clicking the button and switching from main to alt 1 or two?

When you press POL and MON together: it cuts out the center, so - can you hear the sides in stereo, or you only hear side information on both speakers in MONO only? @Produce Like A Pro

I really wish that would make one of these with a single stereo trs input. So I could use my headphone jacks on my Apollo directly into the controller. I need a talkback solution without eating up an input and several outputs.

Can you only listen to the sub in solo without any other set of speaker? I want to do that because I want to connect my single mix cube there and that way had 4 "sets" of speakers.

Hi. What's the utility of 4 headphone cues in control room as opposed to having headphone amp in live room? I'm struggling to get musicians comfortable in tracking and headphone disrtibution/mix and 2 way communiciation is a mistery to me.

Can I set any of the ALT outs to be equal to the main out? This video shows that it is possible for the sub out but doesn't speak about the alt outs. I need an extra output for the main output, that's why.

As far as the DAC, is it better than the heritage ram 2000 in ur opinion?

Finally an affordable and fantastic quality monitor controller!!

Does anybody know if I can use the aux to listen to whats in my DAW (my mix) and play it on my phone?? I doubt thats what its for but that would be a really dope feature as I usually decide how my mix holds up playing on phones, as mostly everybody listens to music on their phones. Thanks!

Honestly I'm more interested in the knowing what cat5/Ethernet based controllers sitting in the workflow set up of the desk are and how they function.

If there was a Nero "light" version I would buy it so fast!

This looks super nice, but a few things I find lacking. -I’d like to have separate inputs for headphones as the way it’s set up (unless I’m missing something) is you can’t have separate/individualized monitor mixes -I’d like a high pass filter on the controller since my monitors are full range unless ran through a sub itself. A lot of monitors and subs only have one input, so without a HPF on the unit I’m stuck going always with a sub -a front access AUX input to plug in artists phones Still, great stuff and I imagine this is perfect for a lot of people!

Hey vutall, Thanks for the comment, just thought I'd clear some stuff up for you: - Each headphone output can be individually routed from any of the inputs. When Ulrich was showing how you can route talkback to each of the headphones, at the same time you can choose the input you would like to send to that particular headphone output. - I will pass the HPF feedback on! - While there isn't front access Aux connection, there is one on the rear panel intended for use with phones/ipods etc. So it would just be a case of running a cable round from the back. Hope that helps!

Audient Thanks for the reply! I appreciate you clearing that up! I must have missed that there was an aux in on the back, I certainly don’t mind just running a cable out, so scratch that one off the list. As far as The headphones go again thank you for clearing that up. Are there enough inputs that I can have a unique signal for each of the four headphones? Say a master for the mix to the engineer, a send that has only vocals, a send that has only guitar, and a send that only has bass?

Ei Warren, how do i connect a subwoofer to the audient Nero i just bought? Just plug a Mono Jack from the SUB out on the back to the L in on the Sub? because on my Focal Sub One there is two conectors, Left and Right. Thank you if you can answer. I cant find anything about this metter on the web. How actually connect a Sub to the Audient Nero.

I’m curious about this as well as left right out of interface go to left right in on sub and out To near fields , focal as well and want this to share sub with a larger pair of focals … did you ever confirm it just Mono out to left side of Sub ?

Watching this made me remember something: Can you mix at night? How do you deal with it? I've heard people say that as the day passes by, our ears change their frequency response and hear less and less. So at night they're supposed to be at their worst.

Hi heavymetalmixer marvellous question! It all comes down to how long you’ve been listening, combines with frankly how tired you are! If you woke up at 4pm for instance I wouldn’t worry about working at midnight!

We can't hear multiple monitors at the same time!...The SUB buton is not ready to work alone so we can't hear only the SUB or even connect a Mono Auratone and to me the more horrible is that we can't hear multiple sources at the same time...So to me, that i bought one unit of this Gear i am disapointed. Also make my monitors Genelec crank whe it turns on! Otherwise great piece of gear... Good video Warren. ;)

Agreed. They missed a couple of opportunities to make this a more flexible, and near perfect device. I can easily see multiple use cases for which you'd want to hear multiple input sources simultaneously, and/or multiple speaker sets simultaneously. This would have been an insta-buy if those features had been included.
