There's not much you can do to improve side impact safety, but that is smart.

@@alb4030 not the same. That’s just active suspension. This is active suspension with crash detection, so if a side impact is expected, that side raises

Can someone please explain what I'm looking at? Why is the car lifting up before the object gets to it?

when the sensors notice an object coming at the car from the side, the predictive active suspension lift the car to allow the frame to absorb the impact

I think this will increase chance to get rolled over after side impact, smart but useless.

It’s not useless, it reduces friction between you and the ground giving your body time to accelerate, rather than an abrupt jolt that would either break a bone or give you whiplash, it’s a smoother transfer of energy

When the sensors feel an object coming rapidly from the side, the suspension lifts the car up to absorb the impact

Instead of basically the doors and B pillar (if a car has one there) absorbing the whole impact, the side is raised so the floor and more of the chassis takes the impact.

It’s a demo, demonstrating a new safety system, that would probably roll you over in a real crash. It’s pretty stupid.

@@isaacsrandomvideos667 Rollovers look pretty bad, but it's one of the better ways that energy can dissipate with less harm to the driver. Might be harder to get out of, but you got less Gs because of it.
