Best sounding car in the world

You can argue about the best engine sound - the BRM V16, or a Ferrari V12 or Matra-Simca V12 or Porsche 917 Flat 12, or the Renault V10, or any number of V8s, but the Audi has a sound which is so distinctive that you could never confuse it with anything else. I remember after Group B rally cars were banned there were a lot of sportscars around using the same engine and you always knew where the engine came from.

I love how the A2, S1 Sport, and S1E2 each have their own distinct exhaust note

Very distinct sound, scary yet beautiful.

The S1e2 is the most desirable car on the planet. Once the boost kicks in the car goes into hyperdrive. And then there is the noise! No car in the world sounds as good as the original works rally car in this video!!

As a French rally fan I'm sure you will love my recommendation of a clip of Michelle Mouton in a Quattro. Apparently she was very worried about what to say to the owner she had borrowed the car from! kzread.info/dash/bejne/g6mKo8Fsfpq-cag.html By the way, nobody was hurt in the crash and she was and is a great driver.

Can you hear the wastegate sing ...Watched and heard these beauties in the mid 80's at Rallycross after they were banned from Rallyes - nothing today comes even close !!! The skill required to drive them properly and on the edge - few were chosen - first and foremost Roehrl, then Blomqvist, Michelle Mouton, Hannu Mikkola even after more than 20 years - still brings Goosepimpels on my back , nothing beats it - finally brutal , wonderful , forget WRC

Der Röhrl ist schonmal auf einer Eisstrecke untersteuert. Hat sich bei der Testfahrt mit dem 918 Spyder sich fast gedreht aber schön die Leitplanke mitgenommen und paar Sachen mehr, also passiert ist dem schon was.
