Great video. My 8P is stage 3 tuned by MRC (Loba turbo) with added mods and is just over 500hp - and thankfully not suffering with any of the common issues (YET.....) you went through. :)

Exactly right mate, I've got similar problems that you said on my Audi A3 2 L TDI. Obviously completely different problems. Engine wise but from the chassis point electronics suspension, you're bang on with that mate I've had all them problems 😂

Also, one thing to note from my experience with the fuel cap problem that across the whole board with VAG up until 2012 the only problem I've never had with my car i've took them apart before and for some reason they corrode check mine and its perfectly good not sure why that happens water must get in somewhere but there's common fault doesn't always happen to every car 🤷🏻‍♂️

Good advice.. I’ve got a Suzuka grey RS3 and don’t use it much so as yet have no real issues but I’m aware these things can arise …. It has a Apr stage 1 with a few other upgrades which is quick enough when needed .. those on here with 700 hp must be a handful 😮

Great vid, a good guide for anyone wanting to buy one. Just a quick question from a complete noob. Can you just remove the CAT and put a straight down pipe? will it still go through an MOT ok?

  • @itsimty

hello. I have an RS3 8p that has been parked for about two months. Last week I turned it on a bit because of the battery and noticed that the car was a little slow when revving. I turned off the car and noticed that oil and water had come out of the exhaust onto the floor and wall. What could be the problem given your experience with these cars? thanks

Is it a bad idea to get one that has 250.000 km on it or could it be fine. It is maintained 100% from 2011 until now and only had 3 owners so far so that made me doubt if it might still be fine

It’s difficult to diagnose on the issue without seeing the vehicle. From the sound of it this sounds like a drivetrain issue, possible Diff, transfer box or Shaft issue. But please do not take that as gospel we can only be 100% if we diagnose your vehicle.

You had some valid points but when you started saying: keep the intake stock. You’ve lost the plot big times. IF the car struggles on sudden kick downs it’s your sh*tty sw because why ? There’s no airmass sensor infront of the turbo. If it would have been infront of it, then you’re right but on the 2.5 no sir do some more research
