This Sunday I can present to YOU the full Drive & Sound with the new 2019 / 2020 AUDI R8 Facelift as the range topping 620hp Performance model. Yes, this car has an OPF and has to apply to the new rules of WLTP but gosh it still sounds epic! While at standstill the car is very limited as the flaps open at higher speeds you still get this marvelous V10 note. Maybe not as loud and raspy as before but maybe even with a sweeter tone reminding me of the early 5.0 V10 Gallardos:) Stay tuned for lots more photos of this 2019 R8 Performance on Instagram. #AudiSport #R8 #R8Performance

This R8 sounds very good, but not as good as the olds R8 (models V10 N/A 2015 2016 2017) because of the mufflers.... a new exhaust like akrapovic or others brands and the sound will be better like this ! Sry for my bad english

Ein schönes Auto, toll in Szene gesetzt. Für diese Autofarbe hast du klasse Licht erwischt! Über den OPF Klang wurde ja schon gesprochen. Der Klang gefällt mir trotzdem. PS: in der 140 Zone um das Reitlingstal sind reichlich Rehe unterwegs😎

Watched this go against the M850i, GTR Nismo and the New 911 Carrera 4s on carwow and if the new 911 entry level model with only 450 hp can somewhat keep up with the face lifted r8 v10 performance, I could only imagine what the new turbo S would be capable of. Still a beast nonetheless but we are seeing the last of the N/A V10 before the New gen

Weißt jemand wieviel Db Stand/Fahrgeräusch hat Prefacelift und in Vergleich Facelift? Gibt da irgendwelchen Trick wie bei AMG um die Drehzahlsperre zu umgehen ?
Klingt ja doch ganz ordentlich trotz OPF - wie groß siehst du den Unterschied zum Vor-Facelift? Zumindest war der laut deinen Videos im Vergleich schon noch etwas kerniger :) Ansonsten wie immer super Video + Fahrzeug!

Immer noch die wunderschöne V10 symphonie aber den Drehzahlbegrenzer im stand (seit dem "Faceflift") versteh ich nicht ganz... Klingt dann sehr kastriert. Und die Klappe rasselt im geschlossenen Modus sehr stark :/ Wo ist der Knopf am Lenkrad für die AGA hin?! Ist der optional oder komplett verschwunden? Klasse Fahraufnahmen auf jeden Fall! Echt stark!

Es gibt keine sportAbgasanlage mehr, und die klappenanlage die er hat darf keinen Knopf haben. Das wird einer der wenigen Fälle wo das Facelift um Welten unbeliebter ist als das pre-Facelift.
Der schnellste Postwagen 😂😂hättest mal das Posthorn an die Seite kleben sollen 😂

Super Video und Klingt auch wirklich gut! Allerdings kommt es auf dem Video so rüber, als wäre er etwas leiser als das VF. Naja, wundern würde es mich nicht, dank den neuen Gesetzen.

Automann-TV ich finde man entwickelt sich dank OPF gerade wieder sehr zurück in die Zeit VOR den „Pops & Bangs“, die es ja erst die letzten Jahre gab. Früher gings ja auch immer um die reine Klangfarbe. Einerseits schade, weil ich das Gewitter schon geil finde, andererseits auch völlig ok und ebenfalls reizvoll.
Why does it sound like Turbo guys? its not like a wild cat anymore i guess.

@@mo0044 Die Klangart durch OPF veraendert sich aber bisher bei jedem Auto zum Negativen. Ob laut oder leise, der R8 als Beispiel hoert sich einfach nicht mehr so an wie vor OPF. Die reduzierte Lautstaerke ist ja die andere Frechheit

As an owner of the 2017 R8 V10 Plus I personally prefer the previous model to this one.. It still looks fantastic but the Diffuser and Exhaust ruin it for me. If it were somehow different I would've definitely bought one. Also not sure if its just me but this one seems much softer

Kyle Swanepoel Well it comes with an OPF( otto particle filter) which makes this car very quiet in comparison to the 20167 R8. It doesn't crackle and pop as much and you can't rev it above 3000rpm at a standstill
If there was not this fucking number plate...
It does 640hp in the huracan evo...
I will buy that audi to install a stright exhaust to become more louder

Because people have no taste and rely on downsized V6 Turbos and hybrid crap - in 10y the R8 will be a real classic
Schnell noch einen kaufen und in die Garage stellen, solange es ihn noch gibt. Audi muss sparen, heißt es. Das ist für mich die Audi-Fehlentscheidung im Jahr 2019.

The old one sounds better. This is too "quiet" and clean in my opinion. Sounds a bit like a turbo charged car. Probably due to European pressure to reduce the noise.

Geiler als der 911, langweiliger als der Huracan. 0-250 in 15 sek. ist auch nicht schlecht, aber der alte fette GT-R erreicht mit 60PS weniger, diese Zeit fast gleich schnell und da frage ich mich schon, wo der Slogan "Vorsprung durch Technik" dann besser passt.🤔

I like it but the sound lets it down. It just sounds a bit lame for a V10. Not helped by the Petrol Particulate Filter requirements and all but whatever.

Der erste R8 V10 war der schönste 👌🏻 die ganzen sinnlosen Ecken und kanten gefallen mir überhaupt nicht 🤔 der alte V10 mit den 3 Kiemen am heck so geil...jetzt so ein gefühlt 2m großes Wabengitter 🙈

Von der Grundkonzeption her ein geiles Auto. Leider haben die Designer die zerklüftete und unästhetische Front voll verhauen. Dazu noch der billige, aufgesetzte Heckspoiler...einfach schade. Der Klang ist ein Gedicht. Wie schlecht dagegen ein 911 Turbo klingt, ist schon peinlich für Porsche.
