It's awesome Competing with the X5 the X5 has 3rd row seats for kids or people under 5"3 while this Audi has adequate space for medium sized adults making it the poor man's GLS and X7 Downside is the 2l turbo engine itself costs nearly $135000 equivalent here in Sri Lanka and it kind of feels insufficient for a SUV at this size

in the 2nd row can you take out the centre of the 2nd row so you have the gap up the middle??

Does anyone know if the 3rd row can be split & only fold one side down? This would be really great for travelling where you only need 1 person in the back, so you have much more storage room next to the 1 unfolded 3rd row seat. You could put a nice ice cooler there and have food/drinks accessible for the whole car!

Yes 100% can be done. Both sides have completely separate buttons to fold them.

How does it compare to model x’s third row????

can you show us how the middle seat folds down? need to know how people can in the back 3rd row when you have two carseats in the 2nd row

Yes the 3rd row in the second gen Q7 is definitely a slightly better place to be than the old one.

Does the 3rd row seats recline? I have seen 3rd row seating with some recline in highlander and Nissan Patrol

They do not recline. They have 2 locked positions, fully up or fully down. Hope this helps!

I’m 13 and I can barely fit

Looks good but is ancient. These vestigial seats were designed before SUV makers took the 3rd row seriously. The Q7 isn't competitive anymore.

Why if you dont use the seats in third row you can fold them flat and you will have a huge trunk and its done automticaly by pressing a button. I dont think that they can do a better job than that if you need third row for children or short adults its there i think its a good option.

We are 5 members in my house including my mother so once on the while we travel all together so this is perfect . Why would you sue car companies for 3 row . The most absurd thing I ever heard .
