Best sound 3.0tdi I've heard ... 😀 dpf and Cat disabled. Something else ? As I give the exhaust flap before the last cans, it will be similar 🤔 Do you have a larger diameter of the exhaust?

That's what they should do from the factory: put valves inside the exhaust and have a partial straight pipe instead of the stupid sound generator.

man, i got the same engine on a5. And also got straight, got pretty similar exhaust sound (you can check i got vid). But now i want to make ST2, which also requires deleting DPF. How do you think, or maybe you know, how it will sound without DPF ? i think louder, but scared about some vibration sounds and so on.

@@hamzaqureshi9998 I did delete muffler for a custom y pipe with 4 inch tail pipes. . There is no real noticable difference when driving . Only heard it sound a bit better once driving home but found out the rad fans stayed on when I stopped so that meant it doing it's dpf regen . Really need a dpf delete to get some noticable difference if you want to go down that road

I LOVE IT!!:D Alpina makes some fast BMW diesels, but I don't think they're as good in the winter. It has to be straight piped for the real good sound to come through!

@@jacobdzik6238 yeah it would, dpf delete egr delete and a full str8 pipe will get you this sound. i Have this on my a7 and it sounds so good, sometimes im amazed that a disel can make that kind of a sound.

MrDjvas Very bad. Could be excessive engine oil in the sump splashing up into the bores or even leaking turbocharger seals that cause oil to come into the intake and/or exhaust system which is worse.

nah... sometimes (often in Winter) when the temperature reaches a sertan point the diesel gases seam blue... just like burning oil... cuz it is burning oil... my 3.0CDTI straightpipe v6 also sometimes leaves blueisch smoke but it leaks no oil

@@szeran1980 Ja, der hat keinen sound booster. Es wurden halt ein paar Filter rausgenommen, die den Sound dämmen. Diese helfen aber auch einen geringeren Ausstoß zu erzielen, deswegen denke ich, dass das ganze hier in Deutschland nicht legal ist.

DPF is replaced by a big diameter downpipe and the exhaust is then straight piped. The turbo does a lot to muffle the exhaust pulses.
