IE Stage 1?

Hey mate, hows your tranny holding up? I'm thinking about getting a tcu tune as well but for daily driving rather than performance. Does it have any difference in D mode? As in, smoother or faster shift? My car vibrates at D1 when I'm waiting for the lights, also vibrates a little when i take off, or reversing at small hill. Downshift is not smooth either. I dont think my clutch is burnt since it hasn't been ridden too much. What do you say?

Hey! The tranny is holding up pretty good. I have a TCU tune from Unitronic and it works well! I honestly don’t notice the difference while shifting but the launch control is a lot better. I personally wouldn’t go Stage2 if you are trying to keep the car long term as I have noticed the shifts have started to become more jerky. My car also does vibrate at times but it could be because of my muffler delete. The downshifts are extremely fast and smooth, so that could also help with the TCU tune. Overall, I’m also worried about my tranny and how it will hold up, so I just try to be on top of my maintenance and not beat on the car all the time. Also, try avoid building boost from low RPMS as that can also damage the clutch if you are tuned, lots of pressure when doing that.

@@QuattroSzn cheers man for the reply. I'll start with a tranny mount first and see if it fixes the shakes but a tcu tune will definitely be the next step. I reprogrammed my tcu via vagcom at the mechanics to increase compression because stock audi tcu can not recognize worn clutch. Like manual, you need to adjust the distance of clutch play so that it bites properly. Its gotten better a bit but not too much. I had a b8 a5 and a b8.5 rs5 with a 7sp dct but dl501, unlike the weaker but newer dq382-7q (not too sure) in b9 a4 and b8s never had this issue. I daily drive my a4 like a grandma so I didn't expect this hahaha. If tcu stage 1 enhances daily drives, I'll defo get it.

@@ishoman.alxndr if you are planning to add a trans insert it will increase the shaking, I put the 034 insert in and my car shakes a little more than usual in drive at lights but the shifts are super tight, you are putting solid aluminum in a place that normally has space to move and shift around

You need a dogbone mount. That's your rattle and camber issue at idle.

They are considered DSG farts that happen when you change gears, I had a muffler delete for exhaust setup.

Why do you get the dsg noise between shifts. Did that start after the tune ?

It’s normal, happened before and after the tune. It’s called DSG Farts. Pretty common on most VW/Audi cars

I have th IE cold air intake installed on my b9.5 a4 you think it will push even more than 310hp if I get the stage 1?

Possibly more or less, it really depends. If you are really curious, just take the car on the dyno. The A4 in the video also had an intake.

Yeah I’ll probably dyno it after stage 1 and would say IE is better than APR, I know you can a bit more with APR tune.

@@anthonysohit7930 I had the IE tune and I think it’s the best tune for the 2.0t platform. I’d stick with them.

I sold my A4 now. I only had IE stage 1. Would definitely recommend it! Going 034 for my S5 for sure.

I’ve heard on the b9 v6 engines IE is having a lot of misfire issues , good thing you’re choosing 034!

Exhaust sounds awesome! Is it stock exhaust?

278km/hr, could of kept going as well. Did it in Mexico.
