We all like the idea of good things in sensibly sized packages. Perhaps that’s why Audi’s A3 has been so successful here, a compact car that goes large on quality, refinement and maturity. Especially in this improved third generation guise, where it’s more sophisticated and efficient than ever before. Which is just as well, given that there are other Volkswagen Group products using many of the same ingredients and plenty of tempting high profile segment rivals. In other words, this enhanced MK3 model will have to work harder than ever to win sales. Fortunately for Audi, it seems well up to the task.

One of the best cars ever built. I drive the 2018 model for almost six years now and it's still better than any car I've ever driven. Short range not a drop of gaz and long range still huge efficiency with the hybrid system ... driving up the Gotthard pass, then going down ... can almost recharge my full 35 km range again, insane.

Love these cars; would you say they're reliable and roughly median costly for the mainland, European market? I'm also thinking about the VW Golf Sportback.
