Thank you so much! My q3 back washer stopped working years ago and I’ve finally sorted it out thanks to you.

Thanks Harvey! I was able to follow your instructions perfectly to unblock and adjust my rear wiper nozzle. Works like a charm now!
Suggest leaving the washer jet in very hot water with a bit of vinegar for 30 minutes, or if you have one use an ultrasonic cleaner. This way you won't have to play with getting water nozzles re-directed and the cleaning should be better...

What a helpful video. I can't wait to try it out on my car this weekend. Many thanks.
Thanks for your video , just sorted mine out! Great
yo this was a life-saver! thanks a bunch ... saved me an expensive trip to the dealership!
This worked great with my Honda 2600 psi Pressure washer kzread.infoUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP , it came with two different size adapters, and tread tape so you're ready to go. I used it on my sidewalk that was getting dark and it worked great with no sprayer streaks. Just back and forth, really easy and way better than the spray adapters that came with my Pressure washer.
Very helpful. Thanks for posting. Was the same process for a 2016 A3 Sportback
It worked with my Audi a3 8p thanks a lot bro, great video. I just put some pressure can air through this little valve and it was bueno.

Thank you mate!! The job on my list! 🤝🏻
Thanks it’s worth watching
Cheers for this, this really helped. It turned out that my car's blockage was further down, so once the nozzle was off, I needed something long and thin to shove down the hole. I found that a stripped earth wire from a section of twin & earth cable was ideal since it's flexible, thin and solid.

Good video. I always boil a kettle and using scissors or pliers to hold the nozzle, pour boiling water into both ends of the nozzle, as washer cleaning additives can sometimes wax up. Get a mouthful of water & blow some through to ensure it's clear.
Great job

@@HatBoyHarvey I went to investigate, the nozzles are pretty corroded as you suggested so I cleaned them up, I made sure the water came out of the pipe to prove out the burst pipe theory thankfully it works, the only problem is someone has been there before me which I suspect was for a rear wiper delete (maybe) because the jets little round collar on the inside was broken, ordered a new jet from Autodoc part number 8V3955985 should anyone else need it 😊 thank you for the instructions and sorry it didn’t totally cure my issue this time
Really good video. Unfortunately the nozzle was in such bad state that I had to order a new one.

@HatBoyHarvey It was still fairly cheap so didn't mind, but yes, great to see some things can be done easily by a non mechanic.
Hey, may I ask, is your rear wiper motor kind of loud? Or is mine some kind of chinese copy which previous owner installed? It's pretty annoying
Nice video but in my 2011 A3 the rear wiper fluid doesnt come out even when i removed the nozzle I noticed the dripping underneath the car but it my first time doing this kind of work on the car. Any solutions? Or instructions thank you

you need to gain access behind the plastic wheel arch lining and trim where you will find the rear jet pipe connector that is easy to push back on. Turn the road wheels before doing this makes it much easier :-)
Any tips with the previous A3 modell (8L) - water leaking into the trunk from over the rear left window.

Hi, I have what I assume to be a wiring issue on my mk1 Fabia vrs. My reg bulbs flicker constantly, I have changed the units and new bulbs but still seems to be happening. I’ve tried to google but nothing seems to come up. I do have a video of it if that would help.

Alternator worn and not charging smoothly (should be over 14V) and/or bad battery (12.6V), also check neg earth to body on car :-)

@@HatBoyHarvey Thank you for the reply. This may be a stupid question but how do I check the negative earth to the body on the car?
@HatBoyHarvey
3 жыл бұрын
If you have a volt meter you can test to see if you are getting the same voltage from the bat + terminal to the body and various other parts such as the engine. Do this with both the engine off and then on. Turn your lights on to see what is going on with the flickering. Take a pour lead off the bat and car body and clean up the contact points and refit, if lead is bad replace.
Thanks Harvey. Did all this but still no joy on my A3 2009. Problem may be that the nozzle is loose enough to come off when I take the plastic cover off. Panther Pro tool goes in and out of holes fine, no rust build up. Cleaned with wd40. New nozzle required do you think?

Are you getting water to the jet at all? these are prone to the pipes blowing off under the wheel arch, check for this otherwise as you said a new nozzle :-)

This shouldn't cost much at your local Audi dealer, worth a try as these will be much better quality than aftermarket ones. My experience with aftermarket front nozzel jet for fabia is they are very poor compared with OEM :-)

@@HatBoyHarvey thanks so much. As it happens got spray out of 1 of the jets in the end. Enough to do the job for now. Will order new Audi one. Thanks again. Keep up the good work. Do you advise on other Audi car features? Air conditioning, etc?
After you remove the plastic cover. Whats the black plastic bit called? Mine is missing and the washing fluid just runs down instead of spraying. New to find replacement.

Hi, Sorry to hear your having problems with it. First check the fuse is OK if not replace if OK then check the motor pump under the wheel arch for power, first by listening with a friend activating the jet wash, if nothing then you will have to expose the pump by taking the bottom panel off and liner and bumper if necessary and test with a test lamp or multimeter. Hope this helps :-)

Sorry to hear that, you have to be very careful and gently ease each side off. Maybe try using some lube first like silcone spray or penetrating fluid :-) if it broke it may have been cracked before hand :-)

@@HatBoyHarvey Thanks for the tutorial, I have a 14 A3 exactly the same washer however having cleaned out the nozzle I checked the washer with them off and the line was blocked. I hand turned a small drill and cleared out more much however ended up reverse flowing the tube with a tyre inflator with a toy inflator on the nozzle which blew back the line to the tank. Giving it a go then bought loads of bubbles up the line and then the water.
Bad design .
