Auction Presale Shopping for Antique & Vintage Moneymakers!
We're getting a backstage look in this one! @BernerBrotherAntiques have been kind enough to invite @CrazyLampLady Jocelyn and me to see how their online auction house works, and even more kind to let us shop the overflow from their recently acquired estate!
We start with a preview of their upcoming weekly auction, where we see hundreds of lots of jewelry, Wedgwood, Fenton, cameo glass and many more antique and vintage wares being prepared, catalogued and listed for sale! This is a family affair, with three generations all pitching in to make a seamless event of their nationally featured auctions...and everything starts at just $1!
We're already shopping that auction online when Jacob of the Berner brothers takes us up to another staging area, where organized piles of overstock from their last estate arrival await our perusal. So many options! We know the toys, military and postcard items stay for their next auction, but everything else is ours to dig through as we amass piles of great things to buy at auction price to take to our own online and real world antique shows. Jocelyn zeroes in on some great gargoyle-like pottery pieces, a good modernist bird statue and a splendid antique applied strawberry porcelain vase, while I spread my finds out over an entire sectional!
Then it's homeward bound to sort through the things and decide what goes with me to my show booth in Mount Dora, Florida next weekend. We go through part of the haul together, showcasing Blenko glass, bathing beauties, boudoir items and a piece or two of jewelry we think are rather special.
Special thanks to the Heart of Ohio antique mall, the Berners and Jocelyn for making it possible to get these items in time for show and online shopping season! Keep watching here and subscribe to @TheAntiqueNomadLive channel to see more of what we found as it comes onto the market.

Love the necklace George.
Interesting that you mention Wedgewood Jasperware in black. Went to the ARC thrift store yesterday and hiding behind some huge pieces of glass was this small little vase that I thought was beautiful. I picked it up and felt it no chips, no cracks, and kind of rough feeling with white figurines on it bought it for 99 cents. Looked it up this morning on the net and I found a piece of Wedgewood green jasperware bud vase. I was flabbergasted at my find. WOW. You have a great day and safe travels

Great video George! Thanks for sharing!
This was great, George!! What wonderful/rare finds & treasures. Good luck in Florida. My husband, was named George. He was NAVY & he was at Atoll Bikini on the Mt McKinley when testing of the bombs was going on. He retired MCPO IN 1976. His passion was helicopters but started our in blimps. Lost him in 2020 at age of 93. He was born/raised & buried in Todd County, KY. ;>) Thax for sharing this video!!❤️👍

I am very sorry for the loss of your husband, but I will thank you for his service. He sounds like an interesting & amazing man. My son was also in the Navy, but was honorably discharged due to traumatic brain injury (he’s doing much better now.). Your husband sounds like the type of man my son would’ve loved to have spent hours talking to. Sending you love & healing light. ❤✨🇺🇸

That is so interesting to know about him, my dad was Navy too but Korea was his only duty during wartime. Your dad was lucky to survive the testing, I heard more about it recently and it was pretty hair-raising! Todd County is Elkton, where I shop on the Highway 68/80 sale every year and sometimes go to the country produce auction and market there.

@@LindaKayHolevas so sorry to hear about your son but thrilled he’s doing much better now. Thank your son for his service, too. ❤️🇺🇸 … I’m sure your son & my husband would have had a good visit because my husband was always telling stories of his tours to people he met & his friends. He was 23 years older than me. George the Nomad, I’ve discovered, was & still shops the area around where we lived in KY. Thanks for the message & all the best to your son. ❤️🇺🇸

So sad I missed this one! Hi George and Xeno! And Jocelyn and Berner Bros. Now when you were saying he had items from the estate earlier did you mean Pat's? She didn't seem to be parting with much except those pears, which looked amazing 😉 my Favorite tree fruit, then pineapple, bush-ish, and the berry family! But I digress. I love the risqué women too, because they are flirty and fun. I was crazy when you pulled out the girlie swizzel sticks... too adorable! Good evening, George! Loved the vase with the irises. I would love to get into those toy aeroplanes! Were there any old Halloween post cards? I don't do ephemera, but I would be interested in old Halloween cards. Those trench art pieces were fantastic and very interesting. There was a brass mortar and pestle there I liked. That micro mosaic pin was really nice! Mom has some really good pieces of micro mosaic. Some are scenic, with small people on them. You picked up some really good items! Yes, depending on the venue and how graphic they are.
I buy exclusively from online auctions for Hollywood vintage posters and memorabilia...and I look at Berners every week. I do not like that Berner's is giving you, as a reseller, priority to their sales....If resellers get priority..then I won't be looking at Berner's any longer.
My father in law fought 26 missions in a B-24 Liberator. He told me about being shot down and taking cover in a haystack during one mission when I first met my husband (I guess I met his approval). Other than that one time, he didn’t talk much about the war to anyone. 🥹
