Was the exact opposite for me! I was rooting for Sam and Toby and was hoping they'd end up at the Gold Coast but was completely mislead by Adam thinking that they were going to Devonport.

What we have learned is that the best Jet Lag player in the world is Toby, as she has a 100% success rate and always has a gambit up her sleeve (first mentioned in I think episode 1?). Well played and looking forward to the next season (please do a UK season, even if it means suffering our eternally broken transport system).

@@Mikemk_ chekhov's gun is the film principle, the gun in question refers to a gun that is hanging on the wall of a saloon or something, if you deliberatly place a gun in a shot, then by the end of the film it should go off, if it doesnt do anything then dont place the prop there at all. an example is the nail on the stairs in a quiet place, basically you have to be quiet or else monsters eat you in that movie, and someone accidentally pulls up a nail while walking on the stairs, by the end of the movie someone steps on it.

That the Gold Coast Airport sitting in two territories fact actually came back to win the game is insane. Congrats And crazy that everybody missed that fact in preparation until they went there.

I imagine there's a level of wanting to enjoy the game in terms of why you wouldn't prep for it, like these are all games grafted on to real world places, they're absolutely going to be unbalanced in some way and I don't doubt that if you did enough research you could maths out a perfect plan, but that would ruin a lot of the fun I think, not to mention it would be an insane amount of work

They said on the Layover that they only changed the rules to allow you to deposit from anywhere in the region (and not just in the big city of the region) like last-minute, so they never looked at literal edge-cases like Gold Coast

This has to be my favourite season finale of Jet Lag so far - kept me on the edge of my seat the entire episode with an AMAZING finish. Also probably one of the smartest Jet Lag wins so far.

The kangaroo, snakes, and spiders were in fact, not too complicated 😂

I have reached the point where one of my greatest fears is seeing the Jet Lag crew in the airport and them literally sprinting by me and not having a chance to meet them. That would legit ruin my day, even if I was flying somewhere cool.

I would be happy to see them at all. The probability to be randomly at the same airport, at the same time is small and the same gate/area even more. So a exciting surprise instead of a dissapointment. Sure a short chat would be great, but if not that's totally fine. Still gives a small bit of insider info and I would be curious what weird challenges they did at the places I visited too ;)

@@blarbkanopcious4243 I think since they saw them going south, they assumed that. Since normally, it doesn't make sense to go south in order to go north. Which I think was part of the play by Sam and Toby; they knew that Gold Coast could get them 2 regions plus Davenport whereas Ben and Adam thought they only had time for Davenport + Tasmania (because any other flight wouldn't get them to somewhere they could claim in time).

SHE SAID THE THING!

Love how Team Sam and Toby always end up being parents to some random object (Plant, Water…what’s next?!).

With the increasing amount of UI on the screen this is starting to feel like a very realistic video game

I audibly gasped at the end loud enough that my roommate in the next room asked if everything was alright

Sam and Toby are THE team. They balance one another out so well, and do some excellent strategizing.

The foreshadowing in episode 1 🤯, best season thus far. Great job people 👏

For sure and by far the best finale we've had yet! Fantastic end location for Sam and Toby, and awesome that the sun went down before the winner was decided!

After the Japan season, I thought it could not be topped. But this is clearly my new favorite season. The mechanics were incredible and it was never clear, who might gonna win this season. So many twists and turns!

I like how there was hardly any challenges done, just pure travelling and sprinting. Definitely an intense and unique end to the season.

This was the best season so far. The game you created was really interesting. Can't wait to see what you come up with next. I would suggest research the potential challenges a bit better, because a few times it wasnt possible to do them due to the need of a reservation in advance.

Ben,Adam, Sam and Toby, thank you for another great season! And congratulations to the winners! This made me want to see other parts of Australia, not just Sydney (which is my wish for New Years' to see the fireworks at the Opera) but also Tasmania for example, Hobart looks so cute!

You’re becoming one of my favorite “reality style” production companies. I love ‘Jet lag’ and ‘The Getaway’ looks amazing. True story, I was watching ‘The Traitors’ last week and I said to my wife, “there’s a card counter on KZread that would be great on this show.” I can’t believe he’ll be a part of it!! So excited!

Aww, you guys didn't make it to Perth. Or WA at all. But a 5.5 hour flight from Sydney does kind of eat into game time.

Oh gosh, this might be my favorite finale since season 3. What a beautiful finish, especially after how tense the episode was. Spoilers below. Also, Chekov's gun with the mention of Gold Coast back in episode 1 was done so well. Wow. True prestige television stuff here. Frankly some of the earlier episodes this season were making me tune out; I think they just became straight challenge grinds which made them kind of boring. But this episode? With all the challenge grinding out of the way and just an hour of straight head to head strategizing? Perfection.

As much as I am a fan of Ben and Adam, I gotta give the respect for Sam and Toby that they need. (Especially Toby, since she is still the only undefeated (I think) repeat guest player on Jet Lag) GG!

This season is amazing

The reveal that Soby flew to Gold Coast to seal the victory was such a great twist, both for the audience and for Ben and Adam whose stomachs must have dropped upon realizing where that airport was located. Great season, Jet Lag! P.S. A replay of the states claiming game in the USA would be amazing.

Congratulations Sam and Toby! You make a really great team. You should do another season together.
