Metropole Orkest: 75 Years in Perspective - Its Past, its Present, its Future
6th Decade (1996 - 2005)
Wende (1978) was widely known for performing French chansons (a.o. a tribute to Jacques Brel). In 2009 she broke away form her French repertoire and focussed on a mix of dance, pop, rock en blues. Later on she also embarked on an acting career. She won many prizes, the most recent one being the 2019 Edison Pop Award for Best Album and Best Dutch language Album.
