It was very kind of you Daniel, to point all of this out to my fellow coin collectors, in hopes of them not being scammed for lack of knowledge. Yes, it's very king of you, and I personally want to thank you for being so kind in doing so. Much luck to you always, and may you find that very special coin your looking for that would fulfill all your coin hunting assperations. It takes a very special kind of person to be concerned with what happens to strangers; I'd say a loving and kind hearted person to say the least. Best of luck to you and yours, you obviously deserve nothing less! Take care Daniel and, good luck!

Amazing video. I've been collecting for years and just now decided to start looking at my coins and trying to understand the differences of errors and coins to look for. I'm so glad you guys call these people out. They need to be stopped robbing people of what they think is real and being scammed.

I have a bucket of junk copper pennies, save copper. The junk Zinc pennies can't even go through the Coinstar; best to flatten them and use for jewelry or throw them in trash can. You can melt war nickels, but way try because it's only 30% silver and trying to remove the slag is never easy. To smelt silver junk coins you need a furnace and lots of coin to make bars and rounds, very expensive. But everyone needs a hobby lol. Nice video Daniel!!

OMG! lol, this is great stuff. You're awesome for earnestly trying to push past language barriers and show people how they can determine what is an error coin and what is a damaged coin. I can tell (actually I'm picturing this in my head) that your trying to tell someone that their coin is damaged and they are refuting what your trying to tell them. This probably happens all the time, and it frustrates the heck out of you. You're seeing it more in boards and forums and it just fuels the fire. Keep in mind that there are always going to be people out there that are just looking at how much they can make off coins. They really don't care about the beauty of coins, the history of them, nor do they want to learn or understand them. Your doing a great job, keep it up! I'm learning a lot of stuff and hopefully one of these videos will break the through to some people and they'll 'see' what your trying to share with them. :) Cheers! .

"I own em, I have em, I can create em..." I felt that. When I was young, I would be amazed at anything different about a coin. I agree, when uneducated about the way coins are minted, it's very easy to think a coin has an error. Personally it was easier to deal with the disappointment of being wrong when you learn how coins are minted vs being told every single error you find is not an error. Thank you man for really trying to teach people the right way to collect, not by telling them what to collect, but more like what to avoid when collecting. I hope that all made sense lol. Have a great weekend Daniel

I’m an absolute beginner and wouldn’t think twice about any of those coins. It’s pretty clear the difference between mint errors and sanding or drilling or filing. I’m sure you’re making this video for the more… hopeful…. Beginners but none of those would have fooled me. On the other hand in another video you stated what someone thought was a double die was actually die wear or something of the sort. I’d like to see some examples of that as I have quite a few coins I think may be double die but it’s more like “letters outlined slightly off” if that makes sense. Edit:Edit: now watching the video you made about this question. Thanks!!

Half way through the video, the coin with the hole in the center looks like it was shot with a 22 caliber gun and that’s why the reverse had a nipple type protrusion to it. My husband has several just like that one, ones that he shot with a 22 rifle himself. They look identical to yours unless yours have the drill marks scratch inside the rim of the hole. My pet peeve is people calling Eisenhower's silver dollars. I assume some think Eisenhower's all are silver. And 40% silver not 90%.

Good Morning Daniel!!🍵 They are like soda pop with the fizz shaken out of it!! And seriously Daniel, I don't understand the bias against toning! Other than those "gone wrong" exceptions, I think it's beautiful!!

I have a penny that's basically a blank planchet but there's a small amount of the penny was stamped and it was the side opposite the date but less than a quarter shows and it is bigger than a penny because of the stamp.there is no price guide for no date ones that have a small part of the coin. Its the liberty side of the penny. Its copper and have a blank planchet thats more modern. Never graded em.

Morning Daniel! 🍵 Not hard to see that those weren't mint errors. My lingering question is whether or not the Mint's work quality is diminishing?

Great public service announcement. I had a great uncle who would tell us he had the silver Midas touch. He would take 2 copper pennies from us if we were wearing penny loafers and take them into his garage for a moment then give them back to us coated in something silver looking so we could put them in our shoes. It would wear off after a few months but it looked cool. Definitely not magic or mint errors but simpler minds could be tricked...
