If it's your first few Count Down runs, keep it simple. Build: Gunner spec, 4 red cores, 2 blue cores, some AR, Crusader shield and Reviver hive. (Get your Crit Chance above 50%, and stack everything else into Crit DMG.) MATCHMAKE for CHALLENGE MODE ONLY. (Don't start your own session unless you're ready to lead the group. You'll still get the gear you're after, it might just need a bit more optimization, not a big deal at all.) Stick with the group! Shoot the bad guys. Pick up your teammates. (Especially pick up your teammates. They'll thank you for it.)

When I first started and got my first Hunter, I didn't know about this. Learned the hard way. Lol

Another tip I have is make sure you have a solid internet connection before starting countdown. I had introduced a relatively low level clan member to the mode and unfortunately he has a bad internet connection and he constantly drops and reconnects multiple time while playing outside of countdown. If that happens while in countdown you likely won't be able to rejoin the group. That is exactly what happened to him and he lost out on all that loot at the end.

I think this is a good solid reminder/refresher for Agents wanting to play the Countdown mode. It is such a cost effective mode for a variety of reasons.

If you are new or lower level, consider a Heartbreaker or tank build. You won't do as much damage, but you have a better chance of survival. And Countdown is only a great farm if you survive.

My goto build is a support build, Scorpio, perfect Galanize & Vanguard giving tonnes of bonus armor keeping everyone alive, shield with 4m health great for picking team mates up and 70% protection from elites, its pretty solid.

@@TheGamingBrigadeTV Specialization: Survivalist (protection from elites for the group) Mask: Catharsis Chest: Pointman Holster: Improvised Gloves: Improvised Backpack: Lavoisier Kneepads: Foxs Prayer The core attribute is Armor on all the piece except the fox prayer knee pads, i then speced into double crit on each piece. 1.8m armour plus the shield. The builds job isn't dps its keeping the dps guys alive and crowd control with the Scorpio, it can be improved. I've got a skill healer varient with 36 stinger charges, that i use for the end of the countdown to keep everyone alive. I just found all red dps boring after a while.

A little update on that build, So i matchmaked for the season pass daily on Distrct Union Arena, i had music playing in the background so i didn't hear the game audio, so i go running into the room with the pool table there is usually a guy sleeping on a sofa, only he wasn't there....I was like oh **** next thing my team mates didn't follow me in, there was a clear reason, i didn't hear the Rogue agents audio cue, i'm now surround by 4 rogue agents, up goes the shield i'm now face tanking 4 rogue agents, it was carnage. The build is a winner.

Use caution picking up loot inside the extraction zone. Either wait to pick it up or press up on the d-pad and pick it that way. If you're truly new farm a strikers or hunter's fury set and equip a reviver hive. But yeah the skills........why do they hit so hard lol

I've only played countdown once, when invited. Everyone bailed except for me and another agent. I stick to solo Legendary Summit.

There was an issue for a while where people were getting disconnected very often, so that may have been the issue instead of people leaving.

@d15p4tch6 Cmon. It wasn't like it froze. Did people bounced. But, either way, I have my fun in Summit on Legendary.

The under SHD 100 players love running turret and drone (attack variants). Was leveling up my hardcore agent and the team fell apart and we were wiped out. Needless to say, I was not too pleased. But, I made a new hardcore agent. Sadly the players running skill builds feel like they are being singled out when you ask them not to use those skills during the start of extraction.

Understand what skill will be hacked by hunters, don't kill your teammates.

the dev's ruined CD, they went back to splitting into 2 groups in different locations, that kills our chances of getting all the hunter dog tags and not able to max out on 208 points for CD currency.

They need to put a quick guide that pops up when you select Countdown for the first time with all these infos.. Or even better - just embed your video and force new players to warch it! 🤣

You'll be kicked from Incursions if you run anything but Strikers. That's all anyone wants. Some teams also run a Future Initiative healer but everyone else is Striker's. It's kind of dumb if you ask me because I want to try other things but it is what it is.

I go into countdown and everytime i go in it im not in the group for teams but i can still see them and also run around with them but theres no loot drops

Have you noticed we don't spawn together, I have been spawning in 2 groups on either side of countdown. Has anyone else noticed this? Started happening since year 6.

That’s the way it was originally. Everyone spawning together for the last 5 months (or whatever it’s been) was not supposed to be happening.

I don't see any player icons on the mini map in Countdown. I looked through my settings and didn't find anything that would toggle them off. I reinstalled the game today to no avail. It's not always quick to find the group when we get separated. Any ideas why player icons are not displayed?

And DOOOOOODDDDSSSS!!! Snag that 'Orbit' named pistol. It almost never comes around on the vendor tables, and rarely drops from caches (at least for me). It's not amazing, but just throw it in your pistol slot and get the passive expertise as you're running around. Cheers!!!

I've deconstructed quite a few.

You need to clear vip first as an eight man group much quicker. And then other 2 missions between the groups. I dont know how many times i couldnt get full points at the end. Ive gotten to the point of breaking off the group and soloing a mission just to try and get max points at the end

VIP is the worst objective. Just do the other two instead and you'll have a much quicker run

Players who are under the 1k shd level threshold, is better off doing a riot foam build, because we got too many players in countdown already doing dps. And can do more damage, if they know what they’re doing. So the main thing they should be farming for is Eclipse protocol, one piece Cavalier, ninjabike backpack, a yaahl piece or ceska piece. The yaahl and ceska are the only two pieces that can offer an extra ten haz pro, so it really doesn’t matter which one is better. If you either or both pieces with status and haz pro, keep it. If not, then don’t worry about it. Try getting some disrupt resistance mods, as they will prevent you from getting curtailed and you can use your skills as normal.

Ubisoft needs to make an option where no one under 1k can join your team. I'm sick of all these new players joining on heroic and then getting the team killed at the end because they can't keep up. Those of us who sunk hundreds/thousands of hours into this game are not obligated to carry noobs.

I don’t agree with that one case statement at all. I have a PC character at shade level 45 and the build absolutely shreds. People need to learn the mechanics or at least focus on helping complete the objectives.

@@TheGamingBrigadeTV You don't agree because you're a seasoned player and you play countdown on challenging. Also, there's no logical reason to use a level 45 when your main is over 1k. I'm talking about noobs joining on heroic and expecting everyone else to do the work. The average person who just got the game recently shouldn't be joining countdown on heroic. I can't even count how many times the team couldn't extract because a bunch of low levels died, and that's why I started hosting and kicking anyone under 1k.

@@TheGamingBrigadeTV I totally agree with OP Heroic should have a baseline lvl requirement, I'm also fed up of all of these low lvl players expecting to get carried through Heroic or just end up getting other players killed by using skills that get hacked. At the end of the day what you need to take into account is most people are Idiots, and even after watching your video they wont take any of your tips onboard they have nothing between their ears to absorb such infomation.
