This is ridiculous levels of intelligence. The orang-utan hasn't been taught how to do this, simply watched and picked it up. Orangutans in the wild are dying out so fast yet humans don't care. These creatures are probably just as fascinated at how primate like we are. Ever thought of that?

I just have the mental image of a nature documentary from the opposite perspective and have the apes discussing the odd almost primate like behavior of humans

Interesting insight. I wonder what they think we are? Maybe what we think of aliens perhaps?

@@stephenryan7855 They usually recognize the morphological similarities, them along with gibbons (lesser apes). Now gorillas probably can, but they're also very aggressive and might charge you. Chimpanzees, well, I they can certainly live with us, but I'm not too familiar with these kinds of interactions. All I know about is that some of them tolerate humans watching them.

@@eliteteamkiller319 Aren't Gorillas generally peaceful? I thought it was chimpanzees that were more prone to violence. Of course Gorillas can be aggressive too if they feel threatened or disrespected but seem to prefer peace otherwise.

The vibe makes me shed tears. Like something I lost forever. The world could never be the way it was
That’s incredible!

This is rather calming and soothing. Why wouldn't it be? I mean the man talking is a living legend and his voice is an audible delight to listen to.
an orangutan using a boat is amazing and scary, its like watching our ancestors evolve before our eyes
this is so heart warming
NOtice how the human is sitting casually observing the mammals. Note how he continues to narrate even though the ape doesn't understand him.
