LIsten Derek (and Kevin @JYD) keeps me interested and entertained enough so that I watch all of his videos and priortize them for when I have time to really relax and enjoy them on the big screen like the fine film productions that they are - and you guys, I don't even drive. I never had a driver's license and have never been interested in cars. Between you and Kevin and Scotty Kilmer, I have started noticing makes of cars and things like that, I never did before. Maybe I'll even learn to drive (I'm kind of old for that! :-)

You remind me so much of my full blood native Peter Built truck driving mechanicing drinking and gambling late brother-in-law Billy Kidd. He carried a beer in one hand at all times while cutting grass, fixing engines, gambling and taking showers! You are a dead ringer for him except he kinda grunted a little more incoherently while describing and explaining things with a definite Huh Huh at the end of every sentence and phrase. In other words you're my kind of guy we love ya Derek 🍻 PS They got these new gizmos so as you can just drill a hole saw thru the bottom of the gas tank and drain all the crud out and install it so it plugs up the hole.

Hey, Derek, Check your pedal assembly mount! My ex-girlfriend's trooper did that, and I replaced EVERYTHING at least 4 times, and came to find out, the pedal assembly was cracked and bent all over!! Replaced the pedal assembly, and she worked perfectly.

I had a newer S-10. The engine was fine though it wasted gasoline. Stupid transmission and transfer case always needed work. Front lower ball joints had to be replaced twice in a 4 year period.

I watch faithfully, I have to say I love this show. I lost my son shortly after he was born so seeing you show your son how to do things like this hits a fellar in the feels. Very very sorry for your loss but dont forget theres other kids out there, As a lad who didnt have a dad at home l would have loved the opportunity to have had a neighbour let me work on stuff with them and learn the basics. If any kids show any interest whilst your out tinkering invite them to have a look 😁👍🏻 Ive built a few cars now and when lm showing them l let kids climb in and have a look and a play you dont know how you might influence them..

The concrete block sanding and dragging the jack down the side were hilarious..!!

A guy could hook his peepers on it, but a guy won't never have the scooch needed to maintain. But the lack of a left blinkalator keeps a guy from putting the eggs before the horse and trying for it.

What a journey! I always enjoy watching your road trips. However, this one was different. The fact that you fixed this rig up to give to your brother, and seeing how many challenges you went through on this trip, you got to see family, and you got to hand it over to your brother in the end. This episode just warmed a guy's heart!

Ahh yes, the classic wireless exhaust system. In my line of work we call that a "high impedance air gap". 🤣 I'm enjoying your videos a lot. Thanks. 👍

I'd say most (all 😂) of the digical connections and switch contacts have also become very high impedance.... in the ♾ range! 🤣😂🤣

I prefer to delete those old mufflers and replace them with galvanized fence post. It gives them a really nice sound!

Great seeing your kid in there. My son grew up around me / helped me doing different home and car projects. He's a really handy guy as an adult. My fav channel on the internets.

I'm not sure how I am just discovering this channel, you crack me up man and also sound similar to how we would talk in the shop back in the day.
