Hey, love that you tried! A rail trail that is being used for sleds works good too. I do mobile bike repair up here in Ontario and Bikejoring has become sort of popular and there is a race series as well! I work on bikes for those folks. Cheers.

Hahah it has happened! But it’s usually turkeys! I was walking all for once and that happened, and the pulled me down a hill. Luckily I was able to stay on my feet, but it was like I had skis on haha

Man that looks like fun, even just the little bit they pulled you. Cross country skiing can be great exercise, great for your legs…obviously but also your lower back and lung capacity for sure. Great content Molly! I pray your Easter weekend is full of joy and celebration!

What a difference in the weather, you have all that snow and here in the St. Louis area it’s been in the 60’s and 70’s, Happy Easter to you all

Molly, that looks like fun...we have a German Shorthaired Pointer that would be a blast if we could teach him to do that...unfortunately I think it would be like strapping yourself to a rocket! My brother in Fryeburg said they got almost 30 inches from that storm...I'm so ready for spring!

Yeah they got hit hard! We only got like 7 -8 inches here. It’s all gone now, but I hear we are getting another storm next week. So much for an early start to planting.

OK, so last week I commented that it looked like you guys were gonna get a bunch of snow and you kindly wrote back that you were trying Skijoring. I thought that was nice but had no clue what that was. Chalk that up to my Central Ohio upbringing I guess. However I appreciate now seeing this and seeing what you saying. Looks entertaining and I see with the right snow it could fun for you and great exercise for the dog. We tried something similar with our dog using a saucer sled when we had our one snow and the funny bit was that the dog got scared of the sled behind him and kept running to get away from it. He's kinda a piece of work. Did figure it out though eventually and chose to not partake so I ended up pulling him back to the house on the sled.

@@BellsFarming Seriously? you're a Buckeye? Interesting. We have family in Pownal and have been there several times. Maine is a beautiful state, the coasts are amazing and I was gobsmacked at the agriculture. Wasn't really expecting that. I can see why it works for you.

American Akitas. We actually have 4. Mom dad and two puppies. Bessy and the big guy Houdini are the puppies. 🐕🐕🐕🐕

Molly if you had a snowmobile you could pack a coarse for you and your dogs to ski on and they would have even footing

Yes that would work good. There is a snow mobile trail that goes through that field. No one had been out on it though. Yes that works great!

Try that again with either one of them on a packed snowmobile trail and I bet it will be way more fun for all of you!

Another great video. Too bad the snow conditions weren’t helping.It’s good that you stopped when you did because the dog could have cut up his feet breaking through that crust.

I saw a hiker on youtube using that method usually at a jogging pace unless it got really rocky. Do you climb at all with that harness. I climb trees recreationally arborist style tending my slack so I don't go on a whipper:)

I did that as a kid one winter, the dog dragged my skinny 10 year old butt halfway across a field. Never did it again, LoL.
