Yeah, from what I've seen anime is pretty big here in the US. It's not mainstream, but if you know where to look you'll find tons and tons of anime fans. Hell, I work at a convenience store in Arizona and I see all kinds of people walk in with shirts of Naruto, Dragon Ball, Bleach, etc.

I would say it’s definitely much more rare among anybody over the age of 35, but TONS of Millennial and Gen Z aged Americans love anime.

Getting 2 or 3 people to go along with your scheme is impressive. This is on another level.

What I love about this is it still kinda sounds like a regular sports theme you would hear before a broadcast started

Question here, it sounds like a lot of brass isn’t it I don’t hear many flutes clarinets or hear them at all.I’m brand new to band so I’m just curious.

@@user-qx9le8ux3e Flutes and Clarinets are not ordinarily present in a marching band. Sure, they appear a lot in orchestras and other types of bands, but not usually marching bands which tend to be made up of brass instruments and percussionists. Although, I'm a Clarinet player who is in fact in two bands a Clarinet is not usually found in, so it depends.

@@yra253 Tatakae and Takakai both mean battle, but are different tenses. Tatakai means fight or battle that already took place whereas Takakae means to fight now like a battle cry to get into action.

... that’s the point, they are drum majors. Their purpose is to keep the band in time, so they have to make their movements clear and easy to see and understand. It would be hard for a non-musician and/or someone that hasn’t been in a marching band, but timing is everything. Although they are only keeping the tempo for musical purposes in this instance, the importance of the drum majors becomes all that more important and apparent when you see the band marching. Those that watch the drum majors step off at the right time, those that don’t step off at the wrong time. It creates a very obvious problem and mistake. My band is one of they biggest in my state, and one of the best if not the best. If we did not have three drum majors and an emphasis on following them instead of what we hear, we would be screwed. Also, drum majors are important for keeping the band playing together. If the people marching in the back went off of what they heard, they might be lagging behind by a little bit (which is a whole lot when it comes to playing as a band). This is because of the speed that sound travels, light travels faster and is a better way of keeping the band together.

As a former band geek and lifelong anime fan, I approve of all of this. Just wish we could’ve heard Jiyuu no Tsubasa and Shinzo wo Sasageyo.

As a band kid and I fan of AOT I have to say, this was the BEST THING IVE EVER WATCHED. I wonder if I could get my band director to get an arrangement for this

Idk what a front ensemble is, but it sounds dope as hell XD. Edit: Nvm looked it up and it turned out be what I was expecting, more or less a percussion unit. My school did have those folks almost every time during the football games and they used to freaking juggle like 2 mallets in each hand, 4 in total, striking xylophones like there's no tomorrow. Crazy stuff lol.

@@nigward.1018 Yes, that's the term! Idk if it's an unofficial but popular way of referring to the front ensemble but they used to call it "the pit" at my school too. They go hard and crazy no cap.
