Blitz is a whole different game basically .... playing styles for legends and blitz are totally different

I just unlocked the Fiji recently and I can honestly say it's my most favorite ship in the game. You articulated very well how attack cruisers should think... great video Tbull... these are definitely must see for those that want to raise their game.

My biggest problem is going in hard in my Fiji/Belfast/Edinborough but forgetting to disengage and getting deleted. This video helped thanks.

Good videos. Curious about the skills like Punch Through and Yamamoto's Right Through for cruisers. I have found it doesn't seem to help if put on a heavy cruiser that already has good guns.

Usually the way to view the AP pen perks are that they increase the range that the AP is effective at, as penetration drops off over distance

@@TbullGaming It has just seemed like it only really helps the smaller gun calibers not the larger ones that already seem to have good pen. I haven't tried to much on the smaller gun cruisers but when I have it seems like the AP is much better than just the HE then.

I have been revisting the Yorck and Hipper lately, as it had been 5-6 months since I played them with any consistency. When used properly, they are great bullies, better at contesting SOME caps (map/spawn dependant) than some DDs in the game. Great job TBull, stay salty!

Your opening play will often get you deleted fast most of the time. Especially if your team reverses to the map edge.

The Edinburgh is a one off in this line of cruisers. It can bow tank and bully BB's with the best of them. Nice vid Tbull. I'm liking this strategy series.👍

I prefer doing aggressive attack tanky tactics in German crusiers.

Hey Jacob, how do the tier 6/7 German Cruisers hold up with fulfilling the role of attack cruiser/destroyer counter?

Did have someone get mad at me for running into them while they were sitting in my smoke. That was annoying. Typically, I don't mind if people sit in there with me though. The way I see it, I'd rather them be safe and doing damage in smoke versus whatever else they are likely to be doing.

Do you plan on getting a ps4 pro or capture card for better quality? Nice gameplay btw

In general would you say heavy cruisers (CB) are "attack" cruisers?

Not exclusively since this video features a light cruiser. But the high tier German heavys and American heavy radar cruisers definitely fit the bill of "attack" cruisers in this definition.

Basically I'm using "attack" to denote that it is aggressively forward positioned. A kiting cruiser like we covered yesterday is still attacking the enemy with it's strategy, it is just attacking in a different manner. So cruisers that this strategy applies to are the ones that do well in closer ranges

It's a strategy. "Heavy" and "light" cruisers are essentially the same thing, but with different caliber guns. There was always a debate whether 6" or 8" guns were superior for cruisers. Post-war, the USN retained 8" gun cruisers, but this was almost entirely due to shore bombardment missions and cheaper to operate than anything bigger. CB implies the Alaska and that ship was designed as both an escalation in cruiser size and doctrine--one which never panned out. They were retired with indecent haste after the war, never to be seen again.

@@davefinfrock3324 Yes and my thought was a cruiser that can tank or take damage better would be considered an attack cruiser. Baltimore and Wichita come to mind which are both heavy cruisers. I meant to say "CA" and not "CB" and you are correct CB is for the Alaska. My bad.

@@jeffpemberton6636 Well, there are game mechanics to be taken into consideration. Historically, heavy and light cruisers are the same thing from an evolutionary standpoint. For example, the Pensacolas and Northhamptons originally had CL hull designations that were only changed to CA after the London Naval Treaty. Some countries weren't signatories and never made the distinction. In the game, you have some cruisers with hull plating from 27mm to 32mm and these can tank BB grade guns to greater or lesser degree. That's where the durability comes from. It's a game balancing strategy. It's also why we desperately need an armor viewer.

@@Hashslinging_25 generic yes bad no they are going to get destroyer smoke for now meaning we're basically getting a whole line of katuzov because they going to have a he for now guess what that Russian Cruiser is one of the best in the game so they're not going to be bad they're going to be really powerful because they can he spam while in smoke but the dive said this is for two reasons one to test it out n2 because Seth is not made in the game yet it took PC 3 years to develop it took mobile 2 years to make I mean mobile been around for like what for years and just a now they're getting the italians with SAP us we're barely even a year old so it makes sense y they won't have it

Forward positioning in cruisers is my favorite play style currently in the game but it definitely requires excellent map awareness to not get deleted instantly. Which you just have to be prepared for maybe 30% of your games until you really get into a rhythm and build some skill at this style. Probably why most players consider the British CLs and German Heavys the worst lines in the game even though the RN cruisers are some of the strongest floating guns in game as far as DPM.
