This the best vid about compression I've seen to date. Part of it has to do with you being a real artist releasing bangers, that keeps us 'students' way more interested. Maybe it's just me but I can't take advice from someone who does not make quality music. You're a god bro hahaha

KASMADEIT KASMADEIT KASMADEIT how about some common sense dude, your statement was that you can’t take advice from people that don’t make quality music, and by from the compliments you were giving Devvon, it’s clear that you were talking about people who write lyrics, melodies and produce beats which can also give engineering advice due to having a lot of insight in every other part of the process. But what I’m telling you is you’re missing valuable information because the top mix engineers don’t normally work in other aspects of the creative process, they just mix

You just gave me a new perspective on the attack and release. I realized that when you set the release all the way to the right on the setting it said 5000 ms which means it takes the release 5 second for the release to let go and for the attack set all the way to the right is 500 ms which means 0.5 second for the compressor to start. You explained this way better than my professor 😂 bless up G🙏🏽
