Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe 4-8-4 Steam locomotive # 3751 running from Los Angeles to San Bernardino via the Metrolink San Gabriel sub. She is on her way to San Bernardino Railroad Days.
Shot with a Canon Vixia HF R10 (main), Nikon D90 (Secondary shots #1 and #3), and a Sony NEX-3 (Secondary shots #2 and #4.) Edited together in Sony Vegas Pro 9.0.

Steam locomotive on concrete ties and spring clip fasteners. Times change. Your shot on the freeway makes a no brainer case to take the commuter train.

Your so welcome. I also made animations of 3751 when she ran in 1991, Railfair 99, and the present, when she pulls the Grand Canyon Limited. And I recorded sounds from other videos of 3751 for the animations.

Update: Years ago, I deleted my train animations, after learning more about copyright, and becoming paranoid of getting copyright struck for some of the sound recordings I used. Sorry. Someday, I’ll make new train animations only with sound recordings that don’t appear to be so copyrighted.
