    @Gingy, the Ballerinas are called left and right not because of the hands but because of the brain. When Katerina died he tried to put her back together but couldn't do it in one piece, so he restored left and right sides of the brain. It is explained while you are fighting them.

    The rings are not for twin-robots, they were supposed to be worn by P3 and his wife as wedding rings, so they would be moderators, while Sechenov will administrate the network. So destruction of all 3 connectors with hi access leaves all the network to the will of Zakharov.

    @Succubfan Жыл бұрын

    There is some points that weren't announced. And they are interesting. 1. Zakharov wasnt killed, so to speak, He was someone who was disgusted by limitation of human body. You know that usual stuff: eating, copulating, having good time. He was sure that the true potential of human mind was handicapped by flesh and body. So he willingly dissolved himself in the polymer. When Sechenov was made aware about it, he tried to help his friend, but Zakharov refused. Because he started to feel as something else. A new species, that is not locked in the fleshy prison. Also in his new state he was able to make scientific breakthoughs. Such as creating Voshod device. By the start of the game he has pretty misanthropic view on humanity overall. He is not mastermind of the whole clustermess, but he effectively uses what he got his hands on for his goals. 2. Ring we see in the game were design for Nechaev couple. Because they were right and left hand of Sechenov before. Accident happened not in the war, but after. Terrorist group got them. They were supposed to be guardians of the rings, but shit happened. 3. On combat tactics in robots, it is a part of defensive mechanisms that were put in if enemy army once again invaded Soviet union. Atomic heart project was about collapse of tht electric grid of USA, not mindless slaughter. Basiclly mass diversion on power plants, that only Soviet Union can handle. USSR have actual combat robots, and they are terrifying. P-3 actually had to deal with them at some point. But he doesn't remember that. 4. Petrov is suffering from immense ego. He created this malfunction to make his name stand in the history. If not like a great mind, then like a villain. He was envious of the position of the Scientific Cohort. And wished for similar privileges. 5. Important to note that all the craze people in the Neptune facility are volunteers. They are not victims it was their own decision. That the grey morale area, on one hand it looks pretty brutal and inhumane, on the other there is no way to push science without someone to be sacrificed on the operation table. Game specifically ends in an open way. It gives us a riddle who is a good guy, and who is bad one. Who is right and who is wrong will be different for different persons, depending on their view of life.

    I love the look of this game. I've always loved American retrofuturism, but it seems often times that's all there is. It's neat to see what other places around the world dreamed up at the same time. I used to collect stamps and I would often get stamps from the former Soviet union, and they were always these very abstract visions of tomorrow from the 1950s or 1960s. They were similar to the American visions of tomorrow but always seemed a bit... Off. This game nailed that look.

After defeating the twins in the final cutscene when he climbs out of the tub in his new polymer goo form, you see him petting one of those fuzzy cat-things that you first encounter in limbo. Kinda crazy that perhaps the first hint as to who charles really is can be found in a loading screen before the game starts; Of course without the context from the ending you wouldn't pay this tip much attention. I also find it interesting how the bad ending is the one making you go through another boss fight against the twins while the good ending you simply leave everything behind. In most games, its usually the other way around. The good ending requires you to play a bit more and fight more baddies to achieve true victory but here actually leaving is the better choice. Also I never realized that the entire plan of Atomic Heart was simply taking over the US by the robots built with combat mode. This strings beautifully to the Cold War itself and its also interesting to see how government officials take part of the plan knowing the potential risks. The guy from the committee isn't any better than Sechnov himself. He was willing to preserve Atomic Heart project in order to take over the US... Maybe the gameplay itself isn't really break-through, but the story is more compelling than most games ive seen in recent years.

    I think the reason Zakharaov destroys the controller is that the controller may override Zakharaov's control. Zakharaov does not need the controller to control people, the evidence is that he can send P3 to limbo by himself. In the good ending, P3 also mentioned this, and confirmed that Secherov had no intention to control every one. The controllers may be the counter measure.

    Something I want to share: I believe NORA isn't just talking P3 into getting rid of the glove out of spite, but rather because she knew about Charles' plan. NORA was altered by the actions of Petrov. We are introduced to that in the beginning of the story. Petrov knew about Setchenovs plans with Kollektiv 2.0 and tried to stop it. He also immediately knew that P3 came by Sechenovs command after Filatova mentioned her encounter with P3 and him wearing an experimential glove. It is therefore possible that Petrov knew about Zhirkov in the glove and altered NORA with this knowledge. I haven't yet put all the strings together but I think NORA knows a bit more about the glove than I first anticipated.

Sure enough, she only freaks out when the plot requires it, right before the choice between leaving and killing Sechenov.

(When you fight the twins together you only actually have to lower one of their hp bars to 0, I know this is more of a moot point but still) So it does make sense than one ring was intended for P-3 and the other for his wife and even after the incident that nearly kills them.

    the only thing that still gets me confused is the final boss fight when P-3's wife is trying to communicate with him. Telling him that she's been trying to talk to him and only managed to get a clear connection when he's semi in limbo. During the fight Teardrop (who is supposedly katya) says to set her free, whatever that means. I feel like thats a mystery in itself, but idk if that is real or a hallucination. I was hoping the future dlc (we were told there will be 4 dlcs) will expand upon the story after the ending but I believe they said its going to take place during these events rather than after. Edit: Some other details i’d like to point out is the testing grounds. The reward room has graffiti of Zina’s chicken and the mysterious cat we see in limbo/with Sechanov. That cat holds some importance idk what. In previous old trailers we actually know what we look like in limbo, and this is but a theory: what if teardrop (aka: the silver roaming polymer, aka: our wife) comes to rescue us out of limbo from the ending where charles reveals himself to be the true villain in future dlc? All we know is that were getting 4 more expansions with new puzzels, locations, enemies, and weapons. Devs never specified exactly where and when the dlc take place so imma cross my fingers for dlc story that takes place following the ending.

    I think P-3's "wife" in this scenario is just more manipulation by Zakharov, especially because in the limbo he sends P-3 to we see the metal twins. It probably isn't a stretch to say that he's using "her voice" to further encourage his destruction of the twins (free the girl, destroy the robot). Though this also calls into question exactly how deep he's embedded into P-3's mind.

    I like the 'good' ending, from a gamer's perspective I can see why they wouldn't like it but from a story perspective, it's nice to see the mc use their head for once and not just be go getters and yes-men. Too many mc's are just gullible dimwits and just be doing anything for anyone who thinks they are in the right without ever questioning it. Alot of games have you being the baddies and the main character just never seen to have a conscious on it. It's nice to see one where the mc's says he's had enough and just quits and you can still complete the game. Bioware games are the only other game i know that allows you do that like the shooting the star child ending in mass effect or Jade empire where if you chose the path of the closed fist you can screw people over instead of being screwed over. There was this one mission where the villain steals the power of a goddess and u had to get it back for her, but once you got it you could tell if it was really that important to her then she would have worked harder to keep it and just keep her power for yourself. Then she tries to convince some of your companions to fight you and get it back for her but they were starting to get on my nerves anyways. Even the villain is like damn, you worse than me lol. But fr though, if you a goddess of all things and manage to get your powers taken, you just wasting your powers. It loathing to play a character that justs helps without thinking it through.

    It was a fun game, but the ending was rather at odds with the rest of the game, namely once the ending slides hit. The treatment of the Beta Rings strikes me as sequel bate, with the rings now being the only thing that can potentially stop Kollective. The multiple endings strike me as the non-canonical "Good ending" where the biggest threat isnt allowed to manifest while the Atomic Heart is allowed to be set in place as a non-nuclear check against the west vs the canonical "bad ending" where Zakharov is unleased on the unsuspecting world and the PC is conveniently removed for however long is necessary for the sequel setting to be established... I wonder if his wife will take the role of glove in the next game or if it will be something new with her personality given the secret ending.

  • @FearTheVikingYT

    @FearTheVikingYT

    Жыл бұрын

    Yep, this is why the endings rubbed me the wrong way. Feels like the game is trying to railroad you toward the "bad" ending that they want to use as canon for DLCs/sequels. Why is there even a timer when you're making the big decision? Other than Zina pressuring you to kill Sechenov, there's really no time pressure at that moment to justify a countdown that's only seconds long. I suspect the devs wanted to make it more likely that players choose the "bad" ending by not giving them enough time to think things through and review all the clues pointing to Zakharov being a villain. The "good" ending feels very rushed - an anticlimactic afterthought with AI-generated slides that leaves you without a full understanding of events. Not to mention that it robs you of a boss fight, which is a crime from a gameplay perspective. In addition, I found the alternate history lore and geopolitical worldbuilding somewhat lacking. It's highly unlikely that a world power like the USSR could successfully maintain a monopoly on polymer technology for 20+ years. The whole premise banks on Sechenov being this uber-genius that is one of a kind and indigenous to the USSR. If we take an irl example of a world-changing technology that emerged around WW2, nuclear weapons, it only took the USSR four years to catch up to the USA by making their own atomic bomb. Having someone like Einstein didn't make that big of a difference for the US, as brilliant as he was. Also, the idea that they could just sneak armies of robots into the US with barely disguised weapons is quite silly. Some of those "civilian" robots carry frigin' missiles hidden behind a single sheet of metal lol. It would take some seriously incompetent US customs officials to let robots like that be imported from an adversarial world power. Same with Kollective 2.0. I highly doubt any government opposed to the USSR at the time would just allow their citizens to plug this foreign tech that they barely understand into their heads. They would be very suspicious and 1) investigate the tech, try to reverse-engineer it, and 2) not allow it to be imported and used until they could confirm it aligned with the interests of their states. Not that a highly advanced USSR would even need to fight the US in such a crude manner. The economic, military and even cultural advantage granted by a monopoly on polymer tech would allow the USSR to win the Cold War w/o any robot-powered coups. I appreciate the attempt at Cold War geopolitical intrigue with neural nets and robots but I feel like it falls apart under scrutiny. Not that those details make any more sense in series like Bioshock but I feel like Atomic Heart wants players to take it a bit more seriously.

    Both ending are non ending were they don't resolve anything set up by the story. They just end it with whatever animation they had left My best guess is feature creep and having to work with whatever they had to finish the game. I am sure the blob dude was important for the end (if not something you fought as final boss) but since they never got to the point working on all that feature creep. Whatever original ending got canned for this rush ending. Seriously the ending is such last minute asspull. That the ending could be the robot became sentient and are having an uprising against there slave master and everyone involved just refuse to see the robot worker had agency. So everyone is just covering each other ass trying to cover it up. The limbo and mind control was design to put down the sentient robot rebellion. Since the only sentient being is human they tested on human first and Collectiv 2.0 would take away there emerging robot free will. So they can keep there robot worker. Actually I take it back as asinine as my ending I offer is it at least in corporate the plot and doesn't deny every character agency. Instead of having the last minute villain agency crush everything that happen before it rendering the game meaningless. The whole US take over plot makes no sense in universe. This Soviet union is super advance and has most of the world under there influence. That the US allow the building of nuclear reactor by commie robot showcase there essentially a client state of the Soviet Union. Destroying them make no sense. They have plan to colonize the solar system in few years. Why would the US matter at all. I understand that Russian didn't translate well which is why the developer stated they expect you to put the Russian audio and put subtitle to your language. So some of the confusing dialogue at least make sense when even they don't recommend using the English dub. Cultural/language different aside this is just poorly written non ending to the game there is nothing to explain. Is not confusing or incoherent is non ending. Non ending aren't inherently bad. They can work just fine but here is just bow so they can hit the credits. Because they ran out of content and time.

    The looting mechanic in this game is by far my favorite over any game I've played, not only is it aesthetically satisfying but it's also not tedious. Looking through every nooks and cranny is my favorite pass time. The interesting part is that you can tell the main character is being control by something implanted in his head that altered his personality. You'll able sense it at the beginning when a vendor asked you to try one of his free head band, and he later say "there is something inside of your head". I've also notice when they're riding the flying car, Charles was surprised P-3 never ride one before. At granny Xena hut, he mentioned about his head injury and losing some of his memory. Anyway I'm interested to find out why Viktor Petrov sabotaged the robots to make them killed his own people? P-3 and Petrov could be good friends if they had a chance to talk because now I realize Petrov wanted the US to know that the Russian are creating sophisticated killer robots that disguised as janitors and chubby bartenders. When Petrov fake his own death to stop you from going after him, this prove he's really smart. The most intriguing and underrated feature is the talking glove call Charles. A true genius! I wonder why only the main character has it. Update. As I'm getting deeper into the game, I've learned that the glove is the bad guy and it was giving to P-3 by his boss (Dmitry Sechenov). I haven't beaten the game yet. I'm still at the quest call Made in USSR, but found a spoiler that answer some of my questions regarding the P-3 memory lost. It turn out the robot twins, one of them is P-3 wife. They're being used as sex slaves for his boss and other Fembots for the Russian Elite. Knowing one of the robot twins is P-3 wife, I always hoping to see one of them slowing turn their head to look at you lol. As for the horny fridge, it was Charles the glove who able to tamed/hacked her, why was she attracted to P-3? Was this part of Charles plan as well? Note 2 self. The red blob scene is a tribute to Breaking Bad when Jesse fills the bathtub with acids to dissolved a dead body. A little about my playstyle and build. For my build, I'm old fashion and invested all the points into health and elemental/physical resist. For damage I maxed my electro pistol and swirling axe. I like to imagine I'm playing the Barbarian from Diablo 2, using whirlwind to vanquished my foes. Quick draw against flying units with my Electro. This game is part RPG, part shooting and part puzzle. For RPG I always looks for large horde of robots to farm. The only thing I don't like is lack of robot to kill. Atomic heart is my Half Life 3. Currently playing the dev build without any navigation marker.

    This game has interesting lore and decent worldbuilding, though I wish it was more polished and the endings need more work as well. In the end Good Video😄😄👍👍Good job Does Sechenov use the twins for sexual relief? I am not sure if this question has been answered in-game, but I was wondering if it was?

    It isn't stated that he does that. In a theater other robo ballerinas are used in this way. Those 2 he has were booked with an empty mind by him as one message states. So it doesn't seem to me, and it just sounds stupid inside the context of situation

    All good with the explanation and stuff but for the visuals I would like for them to be split into more bite sized information in an organized pattern. You could possibly put chapters into the actual script and section them out on KZread.

    i gess that both sechenov and the glove are villains. But in the game,they’ve put sechenov as a “well inttentioned” villain and the glove as a minipulative villain.

    I kinda agree but we don't know Sechenov intentions for sure till the end too. The main difference is Sechenov seems shady almost from a start and Zaharov(glove) has a twist in the end. But for sure both are villains, even your wife says that in a final battle

    The story was so much better than the game. So many moments of this game made me want to quit until I finally did lol the riding in the rail mission to speed up the goo was soooooo slow. Before that the game tells you “this rail car will take us to where we need to go” and there is no rail car to ride in that section! You walk through rail cars avoiding them to THEN get to a rail car like 5 mins away. It’s so backwards. Then you get to a spot where you’re chasing petrov and you finally find his “corpse” to report back to your boss. But you don’t get to report back to the boss you have to go find 4 canisters to progress. And each one takes like 20ish mins. It’s like taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back. It’s so irritating. It was just clearly padding the game and you feel how dumb it is. BUT during this section you get to this cool ass bush boss looking guy anddddd you don’t even get to fight it. You just do a puzzle and watch some poor lad die to a spore thing while you just wait to get some rubble off your leg in the most non urgent way. Even the death scenes are padded lol it’s like watching people make dumb decisions in a horror movie. The art style is sick. Loved it. They clearly worked hard on it, but man I hated playing this game
