LYRICS:
Head, pressure, senses, clutch
Date, divinity, wouldn't, fuck
Touched, hazy, God, change
Rush, floor, life, veins
Head, pressure, senses, clutched
Date, divinity, wouldn't, fuck
Touched, hazy, God, change
Rush, floor, life
From a head full of pressure wrest the senses that I clutch
Made a date with divinity, but she wouldn't let me fuck
I got touched by a hazy shade of God-help-me-change
Caught a rush on the floor from the life in my veins
From a head full of pressure wrest the senses that I clutch
Made a date with divinity, but she wouldn't let me fuck
I got touched by a hazy shade of God-help-me-change
Caught a rush on the floor from the life in my veins
It goes one for the cannabis, and two for your Dianetics
Three for the reasoning, and four for those that try to get it
Five for your love, and six for the stress
And seven for the day that I climbed into this mess
From a head full of pressure wrest the senses that I clutch
I made a date with divinity, but she wouldn't let me fuck
And I got touched by a hazy shade of God-help-me-change
And caught a rush on the floor from the life in my veins
I'm catching ulcers from the child-proof lighters
And all of these fine-tooth biters that keep the wires in my head tighter
I'm tired out by the distances achieved walking in my sleep
Thoughts got shifted since the high got a tad too deep
Ask dad to keep cool, I'll call him back soon as I resume normal
And get out of this bathroom
And call management to seek some reimbursement
For the nerve endings that burnt from the first hits
From a head full of pressure wrest the senses that I clutch
Made a date with divinity, but she wouldn't let me fuck
I got touched by a hazy shade of God-help-me-change
Caught a rush on the floor from the life in my veins
Head full of pressure wrest the senses that I clutch
Made a date with divinity, but she wouldn't let me fuck
And I got touched by a hazy shade of God-help-me-change
Caught a rush on the floor from the life in my veins
So fuck needles, fuck smoke
Fuck lines that make the sinus choke
Fuck chasers, trails, fuck waves and rails
Fuck hangovers, fuck hallucinations
Regurgitations, mandatory sentences and UA tracing
Blind my insight and dull the common sense
Give me inhibition, kill the superstition and the confidence
Built a tolerance, now it's more that I consume it
And when it boards up my room, the world's whores will croon in unison
Unify the eulogy, autopsy pages read euthanasia, i.e. irony
Well here I be within a pool of my drool
Sedated, windows dilated, comatose, life overdose
Tell Jacob Miles to keep it wild style
I promise I'll smile
And check the floor, God's got nice tile
Tell Jacob Miles to keep that shit wild style
And I'll smile
And check the floor, God's got nice tile
From a head full of pressure wrest the senses that I clutch
Made a date with divinity, but she wouldn't let me fuck
And I got touched by a hazy shade of God-help-me-change
Caught a rush on the floor from the life in my veins
From a head full of pressure wrest the senses that I clutch
I made a date with divinity, but she wouldn't let me fuck
And I got touched by a hazy shade of God-help-me-change
And caught a rush on the floor from the life in my veins
Head, pressure, senses, clutch
Date, divinity, wouldn't, fuck
Touched, hazy, God, change
Rush, floor, life

Brings me right back to being dopesick, lost everyone and everything I cared about begging god to just let the next shot of heroin kill me. Thank god something deep inside me wasnt ready to give up. 5 years later I'm clean, have a wife and kids, decent job and I'm a man that can wake up and look at my self in mirror. For anyone stuck in addiction dont ever give up, it took me more times then I can count to get and stay clean. It's worth it even if we all fall a few times.

@@emceedamage8604 thank for the kind words today was a hard day and I needed it. We junkies inspire each other to sobriety you cant do it alone. I went to NA meeting every single day when I got out of rehab, they arent my favorite but it was a place I could be safe and not use for another hour. Not to mention just keeping your day busy when in early sobirty is important. I did meetings everyday for like 3 months till I was feeling ok on my skin. If you ever need to vent bro I got u.

Totally agree! Old-school Atmos was them at their best! The end of Old-school Atmosphere was after You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having in 2005, once When Life Gives You Lemons dropped it was very different, but overall it was an experimental album gone right. After that it's been pretty up and down with their later releases with some being okay and others not as good. I'd love to see an attempt or somewhat of a challenge for Slug & Ant to make something as great as their older albums. To have that Old-school Atmos feel; hell maybe even bring back Musab, DJ Stress, and Spawn even for an EP that'll be Legendary!!!

@@alfredobadillo2415 i really love When life gives u lemons, one of their best ever but a big styleswitch on some tracks of course. I agree with all the albums after that being a bit "hit and miss" sometimes. "Southsiders and" To all my friends " was fantastic though, "The Family Sign" really good and "Whenever" is criminally Underrated imo. "Mi Vida Local" had great moments but has his ups and downs. Delicate from that album is a top 5 track from them imo. Fishing Blues never really did it for me, not bad but im just not getting into it. Kinda have the same with the new "Word" now. FELT4U on the other hand was a super album 😁

I was a junkie for 15yrs I used to get high and listen to this song. Rap to atmosphere beats, all sorts of that. But God's Bathroom Floor..... That was the one that really hit home for me. Sleepless Nights, and Weeks I slept through, and the ungodly amount of people I've known who died from that shit. It started out fun for awhile, absolutely. Otherwise why would I have done it? It's just that the fun faded quickly but I didn't realize it til I was too deep. Waking up in strange cars in the desert, Sides of Highways, and just random places not knowing how I got there, I think the worst was the hospital, but it didn't matter as long as I had my bag. Now I'm 3yrs sober. This song still hits me just as hard as it did the first time I heard it. I'll never forget it, it was always this and then Sound is Vibration. RIP to all my dead friends.

Currently in rehab right now, meth addiction. I’ve been sober for nearly 4 months which isn’t shit compared to the 3-4 years I was using daily but for me it’s definitely a milestone I’m proud of. I haven’t been sober for this long in years. No weed no alcohol and most importantly no meth. this song takes me back to the days I would be coming down after days of no sleep laying on my bed, I felt as if I was laying on gods bathroom floor begging to get me through it and that I’d never smoke again which was bullshit at that time. Now this song helps me stay sober. One day at a time. We can do it brothers and sisters

I struggle with meth addiction, right now. On paper, my Parole Officer thinks I'm the shit because I keep my fines and restitution paid, I have a job, and I pass every drug test. But I still relapse on a regular basis. A good friend of mine introduced me to Atmosphere, and these songs have helped to solidify my resolve to remain sober.

Love that you're sharing such powerful earlier work with the unimaginably large and new audience you've garnered over all these years who might not be familiar with it. Such a powerful and vulnerable piece. As catchy as it is creatively structured as well. The idea of putting a few fragments of the four bar "chorus" as its own chorus and then fleshing them out into the full lines is so brilliant (just from a creative artistic standpoint) and equal parts obscure poetry as it is raw vulnerability. Peak rap, top notch atmosphere. Art at its finest. Thank you for everything you've done.
