Great job. Am 45 days into my NYX and jeez ... I will NEVER give it up.
I own the Athena and it is the Best Pistol I have ever owned and my next will be the NYX.
Love my NYX, but she’s no lightweight. I’d love to try a ported Ares as an EDC.
Impressive how the 1911 format has in the last couple of decades been engineered and precision-machined into a hyper-modern defensive and competition pistol. Question I'd like to see answered is how well can these new pistols with 1911 origins take abuse and hard use and even some misuse like drops and infrequent cleaning and maintenance.

Some defenetly handle hard use better than others, the Staccato P for example is designed to be a hard use, duty rated 2011. Ive seen many people run them very hard in competitions like the tactical games where the gun is getting about as dirty as can be expected and they run great.
What weight recoil spring does it use?
@sean what would make one choose the nyx over the ares?
If only I had $7k I didn't need.

I saved pennies from under cushions for.a year to get enough -- Was so hard turning over that much cash but then I went to the range and it was "Are you kidding me" .... crazy great firearm. Love it.
