Penix was a hot commodity. He was being pursued by the raiders, broncos and I believe one other team. I just don’t understand the reasoning for Atlanta tho

Cousins is 100x the QB Flynn was. And he's much smarter than Penix, who was in the same college offense for six years and still a mediocre post-snap processor

Joel, their roster is fine get off of it man. The Falcons had problems scoring last year with a stupid head coach that didn't utilize his players correctly along with horrible QB play. Cousins is 36 years old how long do you think he's going to play...two years max. Even if Kirk doesn't get hurt he's only got a couple more years left in the league. And I'm betting he's only going to start this year. Every pick in the draft Gm's and Coaches are taking a risk there are no guarantees. Why are you going on and on about this? That is his literal point. If you are that worried about the Achilles, why sign him to basically 2yr, 100 mil guaranteed contract when you could have bolstered the team. You could have gotten people in free agency and then still drafted Penix.
