Athens 2004 Olympic Complex - Hellenikon
An aerial view of the Athens 2004 Olympic Complex in Hellenikon, starting with the Canoe Kayak Slalom, the Hockey and Baseball installations. All nowadays abandoned, waiting for demolition probably, due to the construction of the Hellenikon Metropolitan Park. Especially the Canoe Kayak Slalom, was one of its kind, due to the complex and state of the art construction, using sea water, making it unique among other installations in the world.

@@nikitavoithofer2300 we timed the security guards rounds, figured we could get out of sight before the guy came around again. The beach volleyball thing is open to the public though, no problem there.

Was the Canoe venue ever used again after the 2004 Olympics? I remember watching the events here and so sad to see how lack of use and maintenance has such an adverse effect on these venues.

Yes i have been there for training and it was the best course. We were one of the last one there :/
