Your title is dishonest. The atheist in question, Shermer, was not speechless. Furthermore, no mathematician has proved any gods existance, let alone a Christian god. Doesn't the bible teach not to bear false witness?
Upfront, I'm not great at math; I just managed to graduate high school with a low, but passing grade in the subject (I barely got through PRE-algebra!). I do, however, recognize its artful description of the universe and how IT is either right or WE miscalculated. The fact that it is universal and can be understood by anybody irrespective of their differences with one another is remarkable in its own right. Unfortunately, the only problem bigger than "scientific rationalist materialist" atheists is the politically-motivated [fake] hyper-compassionate lunatics who have lowered the standards to the point that all answers to math are valid (i.e. 1+1=11) and that the mathematic endeavor is white supremacist by nature (even though there is archeological evidence suggesting that ancient Mesopotamia discovered the Pythagorean theorem over 5,000 years before Pythagoras). The anti-civilization Leftists are trying to invalidate math and make future generations unable to comprehend it . . . quite possibly because math does prove the existence of God. If math is evidence of an intelligent/rational creator, then ignorance is the weapon to destroy said creator in the minds of its creations. #TheEvilIsReal P.S.
