Richard - awesome video on Loyang - did exactly what I hoped it would do for my knowledge of the game. Really appreciate the 2P focus since my primary gaming experiences are with my daughter (age 9). After watching your runthrough, we played through the game -- she loved it and claimed a one point victory over me!

This looks right up our alley, but I can't quite pull the trigger because I am convinced that TMG will run a snazzy deluxification Kickstarter, and I'm a sucker for metal coins. :)

I've liked all the Rosenberg games I've played so far (Agricola with the expansion, Le Havre, and Ora et Labora) and I've thought about picking up Loyang for awhile, but I keep hesitating as it seems the opinions on it are much more mixed or mild. Maybe your videos will help me make up my mind finally.

Any thoughts on how this compares to Glass Road, Rahdo? I mean for two; is it a drawn, or do you feel one is objectively better?

Anarchosyn hmm, that's a really tough one. i suspect jen would go for loyang (with all the attack cards removed), while I would go for glass road. they're both absolutely fantastic though, and very very different in every way

Ah bummer was hoping you had an idea where I could snag one for myself. Thanks for the video, this has now become my wife's favorite game.

At about 4 minutes in you say that the customers aren't any good to you right then, because they want pumpkins,etc, and you can only grow wheat, PUMPKINS, and radishes. Oh well. The rest of the game played out pretty well, and I am very interested in it.

+Mentat1231 I think he says that not referring to the Pumpkings but more to the Cabages and the Lime Beans because he has no way to get them

I think that a two-pack costs 1 money for each helper or market stall; you don't count customers when calculating the cost.

Paulo Renato 13:24. There is a note, but it says it's the sum of the stalls + the helpers. I recall it being whichever is greater, the number of stalls OR helpers.

Pumpkins were from the New World, Chinese radishes are white, and I can only assume they chose the old spelling of Luoyang for stylistic or translation reasons? I know its pedantic but the theme of the game just seems pasted on...
