AT-TE Clones Are Crazy

Ойын-сауық

#CloneWars #StarWars #TheBadBatch
It is never dull being an AT-TE clone trooper pilot, gunner or even just a passenger. The AT-TE was slow but powerful, and resulted in many clones lacking precise mobility when piloting it. Whether it be in Clone Wars or THe Bad Batch, AT-TE clones are crazy!

    Gunner turret, could be better yes, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened in real life. Look at the M10 tank, Dicker max, Achilles, Archer, etc. These are nations that produce some of the best tanks, and somehow these shitty designs still went through. They are there for a reason.

Most Clone Wars era stuff in general is just vastly better designed than the Empire's "advancements". The only objective improvement the Empire makes is with its capital ships. But both are often ridiculously slow. But te and at are not tanks. Both are mobile heavy artillery that transport elite troopers. "We need a way to approach this base stealthily, and we need it relatively undamaged so that after we take over, we can use it as a fortress." "Let's have an AT-TE bulldoze through the door, that way our soldiers can just sneak through. :)" "We're going back to routine trench warfare, and we need something that can hold down the line. Something huge, tanky even for escorting lines of troops." "Hm. I don't know about defending a location, but I think it'd be pretty cool if we dug underground for three months so that our AT-TEs could come out from underneath like a zombie just to spook the enemy trenches. :)" "We're taking heavy fire here, it's time to retreat." "On account of how slow we turn, I think we should just solo the mission. :)" "I'm having a wedding, what kind of music do you think everybody could jam to?" "I don't know, but I think it'd be really cool if we brought an AT-TE and just shot into the atmosphere for two hours straight. :)" i would love to be an at-te guy

    They might be a bit ineffective in their design, but they are still better than the AT-ATs They have 6 legs which makes the All Terrain aspect better and they dont need the enemy to be in front of them to attack them.

    The dude has a force power that can shatter stuff. I'm sure that material is ridiculously strong somehow. It's starwars. As a halo fan I constantly hear star wars guys talking about how grandma fetts left testy can take a mag from the halo sniper rifle. But seriously it was a conversation about how some trooper type (after much discussion, we figured out) was about as bullet resistant as a hunter in halo. Scifi debate stuff. But I'm sure there's some excuse for the glass

    The AT-TE is without a doubt, my favorite walker. However, the fact that the gunner was exposed is just stupid. There is no reason why he should be up there. I mean this is Star Wars, they should be able to put the gunner turret inside the hull among the rest of the crew. Then again this is Star Wars, crew safety seems to be the opposite of a concern.

    Why do these things have legs? The ATAT as well they're both as bad they fall over, very slow, and big, vulnerable targets. What's wrong with tank tracks or having them hover?

  • @HEMAYATC

    @HEMAYATC

    Жыл бұрын

    Highly uneven terrain is the main reason. Legs allow it to scramble over rocks, vegetation and equipment/vehicles. Also, the legs allow it to climb up vertical cliffs or magnetically attach to hulls of ships as shown here.

    @HEMAYATC here's your solution: magnetic tracks. The cockpit is exposed and gunners have no protection either.

    Yeah, the AT AT is so much better. Not. The ATAT is much less manuverable, and its legs are an even BIGGER weakness. It can ONLY fire forward at like a 30° angle each way unlike the ATTE
