Never Tear Us Apart is a power ballad by the Australian rock band INXS, released in June 1988 as the fourth single from their sixth studio album, Kick.
The music was written by the keyboardist of the band, Andrew Farriss, who recorded a blues-style demo, while vocalist Michael Hutchence wrote the lyrics.
The music video was filmed in various locations in Prague, including scenes for" Guns in the Sky" and" New Sensation." All these videos were directed by Richard Lowenstein, who had a longstanding collaboration with INXS.
Tom Jones covered the song for his 1999 album Reload, featuring Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia.
After Hutchence's 1997 death, his coffin was carried out of St Andrew's Cathedral by the remaining INXS members and his younger brother Rhett, with Never Tear Us Apart playing in the background.

dude i was just thinking about it most of the kids are depressed -lonely 8 out 10 of my friends kids got some type of depression .it's so sad
I had this song played at my wedding back in 1999. I had blue Irises as my flowers. I was n always will be a huge INXS fan. Their music got me through very dark teenage years for ever grateful ❤

I'm a 80"s kid so naturally INXS was one of those groups that I was drawn to their music 🎶!! My favorite song One Thing made me fall in love with this Band!! I remember the day it hit MTV that he passed I was devastated!! A beautiful guy with a beautiful voice!! RIP Sweet Angel 💜🤍💟🤍💜

Miss him and all wonderful singers like him 😢 although none are like him... he was unique ❤
I had the privilege to see them & in concert & hang out with them after.... MIchael was so talented & kind. (I miss all 6 of them!) may Michael find peace in his soul now & know that he is watching over Tiger Lily & Paula.

Honus. Such a great man, brother and friend. Tim passed away in early January 97. We named my first child together. We called my son Zakk Layne McAndrew. Yeah Wylde and Staley. Miss that these beautiful musicians. Just so very lucky to have Tim spend his last Xmas with me and my fiance 💜😇

Hard to believe he'd leave tigerlily he loved her so much. I'll never forget Paula walking into the church with baby tiger in her arms absolutely devastating news my first thoughts were for tiger Michael's family and the band and what they're going through. Prague then was much different to the way it is now just like a lot of places in the world now. Yes Australian rock band how proud we were of them and LR B. R.I.P Michael.
