I had a wonderful day at the Beyonce renaissance tour. I went there with my friend Samir. We got there early and really enjoyed the atmosphere and Beyoncé’s performance. Seeing Beyonce heated performance was really worth it. Afterward, we enjoyed an after party at le Stade de France as we were waiting to exit the stadium. Everybody was dancing and it was giving block party vibes. This day truly felt like a tale of summertime in Paris.
I caught-up with my brother and we explored the Parisian streets. We walked together and I bought a crepe for lunch.
It’s been great to meet new friends and spend some time walking and talking around Paris with them. That is how I ended up going to Sandra’s Kitchen with Tiphaine and Olivia. We had a delightful afternoon and after that I stayed behind to enjoy some alone time. I’ve been buying second hand books in Paris and currently I am reading Ocean Vuong best seller and acclaimed book “On earth we’re briefly gorgeous”.
I saw Tiphaine later that month when we went out for breakfast at the hoxton.
I was reunited with fellow KZreadr Lena. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at a Parisian cafe while we caught up. Afterward, I went home because I had to finish the Parisian apartment tour I filmed with Pia.
I went to a ballroom competition in Paris with Samir. It was the first we went together in years. The music was amazing and the performers had a great voguing demonstration.
To celebrate pride 2023 in Paris we were outside all day enjoying and exploring the city of Paris. In the evening I was invited to a picnic at le jardin des tuileries. The view of Paris at this spot, near le Louvre is unmatched. One of these views in Paris.
Faith Ringgold is an artist and an activist that I have long admired. She has been exposing some of her groundbreaking and beautiful black art at the museum of Picasso in Paris since January 2023. I was delighted to finally make my way to this exhibit centered around black women, black, art, and black feminism. Faith, Ringgold told, beautiful stories with quilts. She uses them to paint and write. This was one of my first solo dates in Paris and I very much enjoyed it.
Finally, I was able to spend some quality time with my Lena at Folderol. Folderol
Is a Parisian wine bar that serves natural wine with Ice Cream. One of the ice cream flavors they have is a bit unexpected. I had olive oil ice cream for the first time and it was delicious. We ended up having a perfect Parisian night in a new bar that I really recommend for anyone spending a few days in Paris.
