He was on drugs guy. It was Xanax and the breakup with his girlfriend that f'ed him up. He was a criminal before that but not nearly as stupid. By the way maybe if the justice system in the U.S. helped people they wouldn't keep f'ing up as much. This is why the U.S. justice system is such a mess. I read a story about an American trafficking drugs in South Korea. When he got caught he was thankful he got to serve out his time in a South Korean prison vs. an American prison. He actually came out reformed, whereas he said if he had gone to a U.S. prison he believes he would have come out a worse criminal.

Do you know how difficult it is for someone to change? Think how you operate on a daily basis and try to change some of the modes. Now add easy money to the mix and the access it gets you and imagine that no longer being there. Listen to Sam Harris, Rationality Rules, Sabine Hossenfelder and a few others on the absence of Free Will and you might start to understand, once on a certain trajectory it is almost impossible to get off. Even when the payoff is misery compounded. But that is in their Blind Spot, for now.

The fact that he stayed clean for his probation is already something 95% of people who get out of jail can't do. So I don't know how you can look at a guy getting a job and moving forward as a bad thing. I guess you're just one of those people who doesn't understand a damn thing about others.

He lives in the United States guy. What reform? When you are a felon in the U.S. you are felon for life (i.e. jobs, education and rent). Your country has made it profitable to put people in jail and as such have more people in jail than any country in the world. Imagine being sent to a prison with a 'pay to stay' policy and when you get released you now have a debt you can never pay back. Now imagine you are in a state with debtor's jail. The entire justice system in the U.S. is broken and nobody cares because the rich and powerful have their own justice system.

@@michinwaygook3684 YES lawyers in the USA and Canada alike are shit house and seldom undertake a course of action best suited to their client; but not for the reasons you outlined as a lawyer typically receives payment that equates to their 'billable hours' ... The primary reason they are rubbish, by 'rubbish' i mean that they are shit lawyers and FUCKN shit human beings; is because almost all of them talk regularly with the prosecutors and district attorneys/police force and pre arrange wether or not they are going to allow their client to lose their respective case and hand said prosecutors the win or fight for their client and beat the charges etc. The aforementioned lawyer will more often than not, choose the option that is either the worst possible one for the client at that time/one that guarantees a prison/jail sentence of some duration as these outcomes will award them some form of perk, payment, recognition or benefit put forth via either the legal/court system, state districts office/legal authority or via the persons seeking charges (police) and or the pertinent prison. I.E - Law Enforcement "hey Lawer X, this case is going to be a relatively big one for me and my career... landing a conviction/jailing your client will result in me receiving a promotion... If you take the loss and or convince your client to unknowingly chose the worst possible choice; I will make sure that under my new job rank, your next 3 clients/cases are wins" LawyerX - "OK, But I also want more clients... you ensure that im the lawyer afforded to and promoted to new detainees and its a deal"...

@@Thumper68 In the USA, there is a clause for "fighting words" and you can in fact be arrested for this. There are plenty of cases to read if you just Google for it. It always will depend on how much you can pay for an attorney and what state or even county you are in. The supreme court had a few cases brought before them and it looks like their verdict depends on context. See case: Landrum v. Sarratt, 352 S.C. 139 (Ct.App.2002) (calling someone’s mother a bi***, calling someone’s mothers names, and using the F words are fighting words); Free speech is not what most people think.

@@omegadroidzero Cursing at a cop or in public is protected speech under the First Amendment unless your speech rises to the level of “fighting words.” “Fighting words” are those words that would tend to immediately provoke a violent response - for example, using a racial epithet or talking about someone’s mother. If you are committing a crime as you are cursing at a cop, obviously you can be arrested and charged with that crime. If there is any other reason to arrest you, you will most likely not have a lawsuit for wrongful arrest. On the other hand, if the only reason the officer arrested you was for expressing your opinion, even if that opinion consisted of cursing at a cop, you may have a civil rights lawsuit against the officer or their department. Have a look at: Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire, 315 U.S. 568 (1942); Gooding v. Wilson, 405 U.S. 518 (1972); Norwell v. Cincinnati, 414 U.S. 14 (1973); Lewis v. Pittman, 342 S.C. 545 (Ct.App.2000); State v. Pittman, 342 S.C. 545 (Ct.App.2000); In Re Jeremiah W., 361 S.C. 620 (2004); and State v. Bailey, 368 S.C. 39 (Ct.App.2006).

On a side note, isn't insane that individual words in ANY context have been deemed as being "obscene" and can actually bring legal actions for punishment if done in the open, BUT the truely obscene behavior of entities such as corporations, wealth addicts, and institutions such as the military is not only overlooked, but often put up on a pedestal as a virtue/goal?!!! People are in jail pending trial for attempting to steal , let's say a $250 TV from Walmart. Yet, when Walmart or "entities" like them destroy the entire exsisting economy of a town just to then funnel the tax money that old economy provided the municipality to offshore HQs to avoid even paying taxes to the federal government, pretty much stealing millions if not billions of dollars from EVERYONE who pays taxes, that's "good business sense" or some BS to that effect?! How would the average person treat another "regular" individual if they knew that they were responsible for kicking out even just 2 families from their home, gambled away their retirement savings, or sent their livelihoods off to people in a 3rd world country, JUST so they could make an extra few percentage points more income for themselves and their rich parents who gave them the money to have that power?! I bet it is a lot different than how most people treat companies, individuals, and even entire industries for doing the same thing by MANY MULTIPLE factors of magnitude! They definitely wouldn't kiss their butt, put them on magazine covers, or give them even more of that power they clearly abused, like "we" do with con"men", bankers, and "people" like musk, that's for sure! THAT stuff IS most definitely OBSCENE and SHOULD have negitive, for those that behave that way, repercussions! Oh well I guess people just don't want to spoil the tits from which they derive their "milk money" and are willing to accept it as long as they are not offended by things such as someone saying the sound that the letters F, U, C, & K make when read aloud in English. The idea of that last sentence is an obscenity alone. It's fuckin sick and offended humanity as a whole! I'm really disappointed in the behavior of so many hackers too!! Very few actually use their powers for good. It's almost always for personal gain . If I was as skilled as them, I would be dumping the truth all over the place like a dump truck full of gravel for all to see. Dig up them skeletons and put them in the "town square" for all to see with all the evidence and context possible! Come on gals/guys!!! Please help us out a bit! 🙏🏽
