I think this is due to the fan bearing. My M15 GU502GU suffered this as well after 3.5 years of heavy usage... Most of the time on turbo mode 😅

There's something interfering with the fan, a wire maybe, or too much dust? This is a pretty common and easy to fix problem not just with laptops but with any pc.

well i found that if you turn on silent mode this doesn't happen, so its probably the gpu fan spinning in max rpm in turbo mode that causes this problem

I replaced my fans and it fixed it for me. It was not too difficult.

Yooo! I also had this problem so I sent it back to Asus through warranty. They got it fixed up and delivered back to me in no time! :D

I’ve recently removed the screw that is screwed into fan from bottom (where the case is) and noise has gone. (Hope I explained correctly) I’ve also blew the fan

@@samueljosetorresarciniegas1473 I’ve replaced fans 2 times… the second one was with the same defect, so I’ve had to buy the third one lol. Now this problem is gone for several months

Pretty sure that’s normal for most hard drives in laptops during startup
