The reason is the fan size and pcb is same in 6600XT ROG and dual one. Even 6600 nonXT exact same pcb and fan.

@@LiegeMaximo Asus built quality is far better. Metal backplate with thermal pads. GIGABYTE EAGLE is plastic all around. 2 bigger fans better than 3 small fans. And the Asus heatsink size is same as 6600XT so quality is far better

That temp is nowhere near unsafe temperature

I love the big chonker heatsink on the Asus Dual GPU and, indeed, that yields better temps and clock speeds. However, many times throughout the video, the Sapphire card defaults to much lower fan speeds. Adjusting the fan curve a bit may be all you need. :D

I'd say these 2 are the best models of RX6600, ASUS model is a bit lower in temps, but both are still a great buy, excellent card for the price 👌🏻

Even though ASUS kept the temps 10-15 degrees cooler, if the price difference is $100+, save your money and get the Sapphire. 70c is not bad at all. If the sapphire was averaging 80c+, than avoid the sapphire GPU.

it can get to 89 percent max if it's running 100 percent plus the ray tracing. i have the card and that is concerning i probably going to copper mod it

Watch gpu teardown, and ya will understand why Sapphire is the best AMD graphics card manufactured. They cut the heatsink and the fan for lowering the price. Beside, Sapphire equip quality japanese capacitors even though the Pulse series are suppose to be the budget product. That is why Sapphire cost more.

I have a Puls card and it's great for me. First, let me explain how I use the card: I play all games at max. graphics settings, no RT (it doesn't make sense at this level of graphics card). For now, my monitor is 1080p and 60Hz - I always use v-sync, I don't need 200+ fps that I can't see, it's just that my computer consumes more energy unnecessarily. The card is silent, cool and everything works. It was the cheapest.

@@savesta304 Valorant can also be played on a 10-year-old computer, and Fortnite without any problems.. I tried Rocket League and it gives a constant (without SAM) 330+ fps on max graphics settings

Služila me je super, ali sam naišao na polovnu RX 6700 XT za istu cenu za koju sam mogao da dobijem za nju pa sam naravno to i uradio :) Sa Safirom nema greške, pravi odlične karte. A od RX 6600 za te pare nema bolje. Dobra je i 6650 XT ako je nađeš za oko 20% više para

If you want lower the temp without push the fans just do a bit undervolt, you don't lose performance and the card will be cooler and consume even less watt

I did the same with gpu clock. Lower down to 1800 Mhz. fps doesnt change. Temp and wattage goes down.

This! Using the Sapphire model and undervolt to 1060mV, the temps rarely exceeded 69C. Also strangely, my 3DMark scores increased by 300 points lol.

What about stability? No blue screens o crashes when undervolting?

In the case of sapphire, I think that the temperature curve must be modified. If you see Asus, it is notorious that the fans run sooner when temperature is increasing than in sapphire (see the RPM when temperature is high. Both work different with its fans). So if you set the temperature curve in Adrenaline application on Sapphire, it is possible to get similar results.

The Asus has way better gpu boost clocks due to the lower temps , for the non strix version this is damn good and definitely better than the sapphire

The Sapphire card is made for small builds where the Asus variant won't fit i.e below 200mm. Sapphire does make high-end coolers that are better than Asus. Sapphire has been #1 for AMD for years. Asus has been overrated for years. Imo both Sapphire and MSI stomps Asus in the GPU department. Every Asus GPU I had (GTX 560 Ti x2) (GTX 680 4GB x2) and 7950 3slot DC U II all ended up dying. Hell the 7950 bent and broke it's own PCB and burnt out it's GDDR5 ram chips because they had zero cooling. Asus has been bad quality for a long time.

the saphire needs under 200mm installation lengh (wich is a rare twin-fan design!) and it often was leading all partner designs at the lowest purchasing price. sadly it does not do a very good job at cooling the chip. the problem is cost savings at the amount of copper and aluminium used for the cooler. its fan curve is very gentle for quiet operation and can be altered do.

@Raiyan on the lower cards there is not much of a diffrence. they all try to cut costs and have budget designs. i dont know the pny-card but its longer and therefor the cooler has more surface area. it should run much cooler and may have a longer lifespan and higher bioost clocks as a result. the saphire is a blender! it looks like a quality design but they cut cost where it counts. at the heat absorbing materials.

I do not regret my decision paying more for the asus one. Sapphire one was cheaper but i still chose asus

Hey TechZone. I have the Sapphire version and I thought mine has issues with the fans because compared to other reviews it runs higher RPM and I found it noisy. But I see that yours is at the same RPM range as mine. What was your room temp? Mine sits around 25-26 Celsius.

@@pet3580 I would think the Sapphire is noisier, because it has more RPM at 100% and still doesn't cool the GPU as good as the ASUS one with less RPM. So if the actuall fanspeed would mean same noise, then the ASUS one should do less noise because it cools better if you let both GPU's have the same fan speed. The ASUS one has about 150RPM less but cools better. Seems to me like it has the better cooling system. Maybe :)?!?!?!?

sapphire is have good temps, seems like asus went a bit overkill with cooling. Its not worth for extra price.

Teşekkürler, xfx modelini test etmedim o yüzden ne desem yanlış olur şimdi. Ama sapphire pulse beni cidden hiç memnun etmedi. Farklı sistemlerle de test ettim hepsinde sorun yasatiyordu. Özellikle masaüstü uygulamalarında sık sık çökmesi çok rahatsız ediciydi. Belki de bana denk gelen kartla özel bir sorun vardı

IN THE TEMPERATURE FACTOR THE TESTS WERE VERY UNFAIR! SINCE SAPPHIRE WORKED WITH THE FANS MUCH SLOWER THAN ASUS, EVEN BEING IN HIGHER TEMPERATURE THE PULSE HAD ITS FANS VISIBLY PRESSED.

IDK I mean look at ac: Valhalla, Sapphire had higher fan speed the all time, like 200+ rpm more and had 10° C over the ASUS one 🤷‍♂️

Asus is better but its very unfortunately its very big size and thats a major problem if your case isn't big enough

I have this Sapphire Pulse model, it's horrible. Even with a good airflow inside the case, it can go up to 85 °C after 20 minutes of 100% load, in some games. It's fans are bad too, too small and usually spin up to 2700 RPM, making a lot of noise and resonance.

I got this graphics card , it’s my first time building a PC but when I power on my pc the GPU fans start spinning and then stops after 5-10 seconds with no display like literally nothing on the screen. İ cant compare different price categories. But i can compare Asus gtx 1660ti vs Saphire rx 6600, and wiinner is Sapphire all the way, same price but more muscle ;)

that's suprising, I always considered Sapphire to be the gold standard for AMDs but it seems they missed the mark on this one.

the sapphire one that i have as well is small af definitely needs modding to get the to the asus temp level. i was thinking of adding copper and aluminum on top of the metal plate for heat dissipation

@Raiyan yeah cause i test the gpu when it gets to 100 percent ussage it tend to get hot and i cant even touch the backplate cause it was too hot i did add copper shims on top of the backplaye and after the copper shims i added alluminum heatsink on top of the shims and get it to cool down 3 degrees nothing to crazy but atleast it cool it down a little bit

Her gün araştırmak gerekiyo, ucuzladığı bir an oluyo, o zaman alınabilir. 5700 TL yerine 6200 TL vermek daha mantıklı geldi bana çünkü sıcaklıkları çok düşük ASUS modelinin ve sessiz çalışıyo fanlar.

Güzel dostlar bana gôre hepsi kazik, normal fiyattan 100 euro fazladan satiyorlar. zamaninda gtx1050ti 220 alirken ust modelleri 270 300 euroya satiliyordu... rtx 3050 ise 250-300 eurodan satiliyor ama onlar asil fiyatlari 175 euro olmali... savas ve korona tamamen Bahane, sanki savas intelin bahcesinde oluyor...

if your CPU eats less than 145 W in load, i think it would be okay ! (it's a bit under what i would recommand but, it should work fine, just check that you have the 8-pins connector on your psu) (444 W = 110W (GPU) + 190W (MDB + SSD + extra case fans (5W each in average) + ...) + 144 W (CPU) ) (i took 444 W bc it is the maximum power on the 12V rail according to the recapitulative table on it, at line "DC OUTPUT : +12v ", if you want to check on your own psu.)

The sapphire runs at a lower RPM, so it is more quiet, but hotter. Personally, I prefer quiet systems, so I would take the sapphire.

@@H4ram ASUS is quite too. I have the same card and works silent. Do you think that 1700 RPM is more silent than 1900 RPM? Yes on paper , 1700 is more silent but in reality they are both silent. sapphire has 10+ more temperature value which is a deal breaker.

Forget triple fan models for rx6600, you pay extra for those fans on a GPU that isn't even power hungry.

The price difference of 269 and 488 usd makes the asus card not worth it.

i order rx 6600 sapphire now i realise that gpu is hot as fuck! i'm selling that shit back and buying msi or asus

@Raiyan i had 3 asus cards (all with coil whine), 1 xfx (coil whine and one fan wasnt smooth) ... now i have the sapphire. everything is fine. just a bit warmer. I have no experience with other cards.

I have the same asus card and it reaches 60- 65 celcius degrees with %40-50 fan speed and ambient temperature is around 30- 35 degrees. As you can see , despite the hot weather , it works silent and cool.
