Astra H 1.6T/Corsa Vxr - New Turbo Core

Car was losing a lot of oil, and was getting a burning smell from the exhaust and whilst sitting in traffic.
Turned out to the the turbo core, instead of replacing the whole turbo I thought to just replace the core.
I am by no means a mechanic, I am just a car enthusiast and this is the first time I have this kind of work a go.
After the core was changed, all the smoke was gone and I haven’t lost a drop of oil and it has been 6 months.

Hi Arjan ,what were the symptoms that you replaced the impeller? And is there an improvement in engine power?

It's hard to tell because I was losing power before so it could be a placebo affect. But i am sure it will handle more power with a remap. Definitely pulls good now the turbo is sorted. Still running mint
did you have to lubricate the turbo in anyway before putting it back or you just plug back and run the car ?

I put a bit of oil in the turbo channel but that is all
Did this astra come with the 1.6 corsa sri turbo engine with it or did you have to transplant it your self

It comes with a 1.6 Turbo engine standard. I didn’t do an engine swap
What are the rims on the vehicle?

Why wouldn't u just put a astra h vxr engine init instead of a corsa one

I didn't do an engine swap, that engine came in that car from factory
