Hi Luke! That was terrific from your Villa - well done! As a Gunner, we need a favour from our rivals so I am hoping the match tonight is a draw, so we can still keep ahead of City on goal difference and Villa can have that 4 point cushion as away to Crystal Palace in the form they are in is a really tricky game. We shall see on that but I hope Aston Villa do make the Champions League as it will be so well deserved and really happy to see what Emery has done for everyone connected to your club. Imagine playing the Madrids, the Bayerns, Barcelona etc next season - what a turnaround from when Unai first came in. I think Aston Villa will be his home for a long time to come - he doesn't need to go anywhere else, it's all there - stadium, fans, team and backing! Everything crossed for both our teams!!

McGinn was rightly furious about it. He was getting fouled time and again. He could have gotten annoyed to rhe point of himself getting sent off and it would have been the refs fault

That was one of my favourite games ever, I enjoyed every minute of it even the own goal it just felt like a joke. Our luck the previous 3 games was continuing 😂 but we played really well even when we were losing and the universe was balanced in the end. Over to City now 🙏🙏

Absolutely right about that ref Luke Thiago committed numerous cynical fouls and didn’t even get carded and when McGinn complained he got a lecture and eventually got carded himself, One of the most memorable nights at VP under the lights and the rain for me and there’s been many great occasions, If Emery doesn’t get manager of the year then it’s a bigger farce than I expected. Really am proud of the team. They've gone beyond where I thought we could go with the squad, credit to Emery & team around him but also the players having put their bodies on the line for us. We're almost there! My god do we miss Kamara/a quality DM. We simply have to buy one, as a minimum on the level as Kamara. No coincidence that we've hardly kept a clean sheet since we lost him but there's also issues at the back. Still I'm absolutely buzzing for the city game late! UTV!

we played our last home game of the season and rightly showed the team our appreciation for a fantastic season. Emery has been a game changer for Villa. But lets show our appreciation to all those who help make things happen, training staff, stewards catering and office staff and our ground staff won the ground staff of the sesson Karl Prescott and his team work tirelessly to prepare a perfect pitch well done to everyone.

Luke it was one of those nights when it could have been 6-6. We had a few top performances. However Lucas Digne defensively not his best game. The last 3 months have shown how our lack of squad depth has made it so that Spurs have a sniff. We have been fantastic with a squad of 13 players or so with a bench of 2 keepers 3or4 youth team players and that was in a European semi final. If we had our full squad to pick from where would we have finished. So for one night only, after three, one two three. “Blue Moon”

Definitely one of my favourite games this season and there's many I could choose from loved your tactical debrief which was spot on Luke. UTV

Huge point, no one had us beating Liverpool after our recent performances, yes we probably should of won but to be 1-3 down at 85min and to still keep going to the end to get back into it, they could of easily given up and thought “oh let’s hope City do it for us” 10points out of 18 from the top 3 this season, 13points from the top 6, what a season if anyone would of said after the 5-1 defeat to Newcastle we’d get top 4 I’d of laughed at them, UTV bring on the transfer rumours 😂

You know sanity goes out the window when Calum Chambers comes on and practically saves the day, the world has gone mad. 🤦😂 but I'm not sure how much longer Carlos can handle the high line and I dont want to talk about his Ronnie Rosenthal moment, OMG what a miss, poor Ollie was pulling his hair out, he just cant get his historic 20th goal and then having one disallowed. So frustrated for him.

Only one point but that felt like a massive recovery; we look tired and spent but boy did they dig deep for this one. Started badly but we made more than enough chances to win the game but coming back like that was so good to watch.

Think ill shed a tear or two tonight if city win or draw I was 4 when villa lifted the European Cup so I have no memories of it but next season I could be watching champions league football at villa Park with my son. UTV, VILLA TILL I DIE.

We should have won this game 6-3 had simple chances by Carlos and Diaby put away, but I have to say Duran is our best clinical finisher! Put away 2 out of 3 behind the net, would love to see him get full games against friendlies this summer he fully deserves it after this performance folks, also mention for Chambers couple of magical tackling which led to the two goals just great determination performance from him.

somehow this draw almost feels like a win. all our best performances this season have been squad performances, everyone doing their bit, and this one is no exception. Watkins his usual hard work, Bailey played well all over, Diaby only needed some finishing, McGinn, Tielemans, all the usual suspects. But off the bench Chambers (!) was excellent. Zaniolo should have scored and was more than Liverpool could handle until he went off. And then of course Duran. I almost felt like shutting the game off at one point but that sequence on the left from Chambers perked me up and when Duran levelled it, I had the best one person limbs in my office of the entire season. I love this team. We'll beat Palace. Thanks Luke for all the excellent work you've done this year, it has totally changed the way I watch and appreciate football. What an adventure we're on. Up The Villa!

Should've been a penalty for Villa towards the end. Aerial challenge bullshit, that was using a hand to block, referee got it all wrong. Big Jhon, 2 late goals, 4 minutes, tears streaming down............what an unbelievable finish!! I'm going to be a Man City fan for one match.........Villa for life!!!

Great analysis Luke …all the lads did fantastic… we never give up do we 🙏. I think if we can fine tune Diabys finishing … nurture Duran into the Beast we all think he could be .. what a finish and a right handful 😂…. And everyone loves a SHIT GOAL going in when it means something 😂! … I think we will sort out back post Issue as well and not get caught as much as have done. It’s going to be really interesting to see the Tottenham game later … I think any player that scores a goal for Tottenham tonight won’t ever play for them again if it helps Arsenal win the title 👍😂… Up the Villa !

Agreed performance was so much better than I expected. I didn't know we had that in us anymore 😂 Thought that was an AMAZING point even if yeah we were a little unlucky not to win, but a point against the top 3 is never a bad point imo. For my mind the evolution of this team next season has to be tightening up at the back. We cannot continue to concede the goals we do and hope to stay at this level, the City's of this world win things because they are difficult to beat. The atmosphere had gone quite for a bit. The players looked like the tiredness had caught up and set in. When Duran scored his 1st EVERYTHING CHANGED. The energy cam back all across the board.

Diaby for me fantastic, over at some of the Facebook pages he was getting slated, I stood of for him because I could see he was trying very hard to make a difference, but all of them put a shift in... And the ref was shocking, I'd check his bank account.. Lol I've got my Manchester city head on tonight.. Let's hope they smash Tottenham and send us into the champions league Upthevilla
