Aston Martin DBX707: 4.0-litre V8

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

More than just a warmed-over DBX
At first glance, you might suspect that the 707 is little more than a regular DBX with a bit more power and a few more spoilers, just so those old cynics over at Aston Martin can charge you a few more quid for it. Well, don't be fooled.
Let CarGurus help you find your next car:

Yes, it does indeed have a bit more power, with the output from the 4.0-litre V8 hiked to a whopping 707 metric horsepower (hence the name). However, pretty much all the other mechanicals of the car have also been given a thorough workover, in an effort to make this not only the most athletic DBX there is, but the most athletic car of its type, period.
In this CarGurus UK video review, Vicky Parrott joins Aston Martin for the car's UK launch, and gives us the lowdown on the 707's quality, technology, practicality, and of course, what it's like to drive.

The whole industry is falling over itself to chuck literal billions into ev architectures, and Aston goes, 'Naa, it'll be fine.' good on ya. I hope you sell an absolute bucket load of these, cos Vicky's reaction to 700hp is priceless

I can just about tell you like this car Vicky, the prod on the throttle seems directly connected to the grin. I guess I'll be searching (yet again) down the back of the sofa to see if I've accidentally dropped a few hundred thousand pounds down it. Seriously a cracking car for those allergic to money. I wonder what they'll go fur used... Maybe I need to get a second had sofa first and check if the previous owner dropped a few grand down the back. Thanks for Sharing Vicky. A great fun review that even those of us that are unlikely to justify the financial outlay can appreciate the engineering and design of a wonderful beast of a car from a distance.

At one point I was wondering if you were trying to cover up that front fender gap. 200k, wow!

And there you have it, Vicky’s smile when the V8 is provoked says it all. Much like my young nephew who preaches the electric save the planet gospel to me, until I take him out in my V8 Mustang!

I can't help but think it looks like a Ford at the front. Like Ford Kuga? ☺️

I'm so glad I got to hear your reaction to my favorite SUV (not that I own one), since I know you're a true enthusiast. I'm living through you vicariously as I don't have the $$$ to be there or to put a down payment on one. The DBX is simply the best-looking (meaning gorgeous) SUV on the market. The only downside is the infotainment system and the fuel mileage. Still, it sounds and looks so good, no one cares. wish I could have been there to ride shotgun with you!

Every car journalist seems to comment no matter what car they are in always seem to say that the visibility out the back is poor ? Considering the cost of this AM 707 why isn’t the rear view mirror a switchable CAMERA ….. ALL THIS BLOODY TECH yet still using basic rear mirrors …..???

It maybe the best looking SUV ever too. I wonder who will make the first 200MPH SUV. Maybe Ferrari or Bugatti?

That grille is a bit awful and the back lights make it look like it’s not feeling well, but give character.

No denying that this car is big, loud and fast. But I’d take Sebastian Vettel’s lead on the future. No wonder he’s retired

It does not look special enough when you consider how much Aston want for this car. I know it is not as roomy as this Aston or as powerful, I would have a Lexus LC500 any day. If you can afford a DBX707 then you can probably afford several cars. With this car you are paying heavily for the badge and also considering the cost of Aston Martin vehicles, customer service and build quality is not amazing.

I own a 16plate V8 Vantage, whilst the new Vantage does not appeal, I don’t have an issue with New V8 engine and drive train, it’s better to have Aston than not, even if it’s only a way to introduce new cars, the DBX 707 looks much nicer than standard DBX, so there is hope...to not platform share and tech/engines is unfortunately a pipe dream and very naive
