Powered by a new version of the characterful 4-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine found in DB11 and Vantage, Aston Martin DBX features an impressive output of 550 horsepower and 700NM of torque, carefully tuned to meet the specific needs of this model. With a sound character that is unquestionably Aston Martin, the active exhaust system ensures this is a luxury SUV that can sound refined one moment and exhilarating the next. The engine’s versatility isn’t restricted to its vocals either; the turbocharged V8 has cylinder deactivation to enhance fuel economy, yet it can also propel DBX from 0 to 62mph in 4.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 181mph.
Transmitting this power and torque to the ground is a nine-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox, allied to an all-wheel drive system with active differentials featuring an active central differential and an electronic rear limited slip differential (eDiff). This allows the torque to be moved precisely both fore and aft in the vehicle and also across the rear axle. When combined with the bespoke steering system that has been tuned to deliver feel and sports car-like response, DBX imbues the driver with an overriding sense of control, whatever the conditions.

I should’ve known 2020 would be a weird year anyhow because of the fact that an Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Bentley, & Maserati that are all able to climb tumultuous terrain actually exist 🤯 and that exhaust note is INCREDIBLE 🔥
My friend took me off-road for a whole weekend. We were in Toyota, we saw lots of suvs on the mountains. But I didn’t see a single BMW, Benz, Audi, Range Rove etc. Not even one.

C’est clairement off road lol c’est pas ca une mauvaise route ... a croire qu’il faut arriver à escalader un arbre ou se taper des ornières de malade pour qualifier une route d’off road lol

Avec ma Yaris j'ai fait des routes semblables dans les Cevennes, ce DBX est un "toute route" mais pas un "off road" qui par définition et simple traduction correspond à "hors-route"

Of course it's a beautiful, powerful, fast, luxurious vehicle and I would love to have one but don't use this video to convince me it's great off-road. I regularly drive my Chevrolet Impala on roads just as challenging in the central Arizona mountains.

I’m pretty sure the thinking is the DBX will do for Aston Martin is what the Cayenne did for Porsche. I see a lot more Cayenne’s that I see 911’s/Cauman’s/Boxter’s. Niche auto makers gotta do what they gotta do to sell vehicles and remain relevant in the industry. The world loves SUV/Crossovers so why the hell not try to cash in.

Please Aston put your V12 engine inside the DBX and have a DBS rear. Anyway put the V12 into it. Its a great chassis on the DBX and it will sell.
I thought the Ford Mondeo will be discontinued and now they build a SUV version.
It's a well prepared track. Otherwise it would go nowhere with those tyres.
The back of the car makes it feel like the car is sad

Yeah, no one will go off roading on this thing. But, it's good to know what it's capable of, in case you decide to go James Bonding.
Try it against a little Suzuki. From my experience it is cheaper to buy a 10 year old runabout than a radiator for an Aston Martin

95% DBX owner will NEVER put their car on this kind of road. But some of them will keep boasting that their car is an offroad-capable although I'm sure if you challenge the owner to get into offroad, many of them would immediately refuse. 🤣
