In video games like Project Cars 2, you have both, the V8 version and the V12, I always take the V12 just because of the sound :P

I think in the game the V8 is the GTE version while V12 is a GT3

oXyDe DRIVERS yup! GTE and GTLM are all GT2 platforms. And yeah they also have the GT3 which is the V12.

Oh man that V12 Aston is heavenly ! I remember it from Top Gear. What a beast !

This and the Corvette C6.R are the reason I started watching ALMS

This is such a beautiful car and it sounds good.

Yea that car had no chance against the c6r vettes

I've watched the V12 vantage at Brands and the upshifts are absolutely savage when you stand right when they're changing gear, was the loudest car there by far (British GT race last year)

The date was 2008/2009 and I was first introduced to this machine in GRID for the 360.. I took a break from gaming once my family came, but as GT7 came around I was ecstatic to see the DBR9 for sale. I’ve logged 9k miles racing this car exclusively on GR3 and love every moment behind the wheel. 13 year old design still teaching the new comers who is boss. Long live the DBR. Holds such a dear place in my heart.

Best combo possible? This engine, in 2018 Vantage GTE body. *BWOAH*

One of my favourite memories of my trip to Spa 24 Hours in 2005 was being sat in an empty grandstand at Eau Rouge with my Dad at 3am whilst the pair of Astons screamed up the hill. The sound was unreal.

0:35 capuava racing team was (idk if it still is) a brazilian racing team. this car was owned by brazilian businessman Alcides Diniz. he also had a lister storm V12, mercedes CLK GTR, ford GT40, Bugatti EB110. he died in 2006

this car has a bizarre history, it never raced competitively while in Brazil, ended up being stripped down to build the Cirtek DBR9 at Mil Milhas 2006 and the car was a hybrid spec including larger rear wing, front splitter, more power and paddle shift system

Man, it’s crazy how we just took these works of art for granted back then. Truly amazing.

"Capuava Racing" had some wicked cars. From the top of my head: Lister Storm GT1 (also with that sexy girl on the hood), Lister Storm V12 (road version), Mercedes CLK-DTM, Mercedes CLK-GTR, BMW M3 GTR, original Ford GT40, plus a ton of other racing and road cars including Ferraris, Porsches, Jaguars, etc. The guy was a rich heir who built his own race track but unfortunately passed away because of cancer.

Although I was born in 1997 and I wouldn´t go to watch a live race event many years later, I used to watch in SpeedVision (the TV channel) some races of the FIA GT Championship. And, by watching some videos of the Le Mans 24 Hours, from 1995 to 1998, GT1 cars were able to keep up with the prototypes and finish as high as possible and also winning the race (like McLaren did in 1995 with the GTR and Porsche did with the 98 911 GT1). That doesn´t happen anymore, because now, GT cars can only win their own class.

One of if not the most beautiful and best sounding gt cars to date

I remember one article that during it's year of competition, Stephane Sarrazin said that he thought he was going to melt inside the front-engine DBR9 in Le Mans and 30 minutes after his stint ended, he had to go back to replace the other driver who almost passed out because of the heat. I can't imagine being inside that V12 beast.

The dbr9 is simply awesome. The vantage series doesn't come close...

These cars are special because they have won Le Man several times with the equivalent budget of the Corvette teams fridge contents. Goes to show how special the engineers and drivers are for Prodrive Aston Martin 🇬🇧
