Not entirely, I accidentally added him as my companion & just went with it (originally going for Karlach). Romanced him for the fun of it since I was playing with my boyfriend who knew the game better, I didn't realize romancing was a thing to begin with. After finishing I can say I cried for him after finding out he had such a traumatic backstory because I also have had my fair share of trauma that I shared with him. So it wasn't a "I can fix him." But instead it was "I can understand him."

Ended up just amplifying his negative traits by letting him ascend cause I thought it was best since he wouldn't have to be in the sun & he'd never have to lose me because I could be immortal with him. Now I just made him a worse person & can't stop it

He's so understanding. A lot of people hate him but at least he's very open-minded and sensible at most things.

Yes, they just work together fine. That blood-hungry, chaotic couple - you can do good, but you can have fun along the way with some murder, chaos and violence. Also Astarions and The Dark Urges situation is similiar, so he understands best. In my plays I pretend that this is the moment, where Astarion starts to realize that he cares for the Urge, and starts liking them for real. Everything before that was a lot of faking, pretending and manipulation.

i made some reloads and was very lucky with this when i was recording. But also that is from my tactician playthrough and what helps is make karmic dice in the settings off. Idk if that also counts for the dice rolls in conversations but you could try it. I wish you alot of luck :)

In the tactician Run my dark urge is a wood elf bard (subclass sword bard) also the part appears always when you finished the nightsong quest the long rest before you go to moonrise triggers it (to go to kill ketheric) . So a other option that helps is wear the cloak of protection you get from tali, use a Cleric to give your dark urge warding bond + a bard that gives bardic inspiration. I knoelw for sure that the cloak and warding bond works and gives + to the dice rolls, not sure about bardic inspiration im soon at the point again and test it.

This is my own past trauma speaking here. When he said, "What's a little attempted murder between friends?" I got sick to my stomach. It was already established he is her favorite person and she cares about him most, so for him to call them "friends" feels like it did when the man I was going to marry called us "friends." It made me feel sick.

Imagine someone playing Durge in honour mode. Too many bad rolls in this scene and not only will your fave character die, but the whole camp will turn on you and kill you.

You can literally tell everyone about your dark urge, they will later still be "shocked pika face" when they realize what you are! I found that always weird tbh. They clearly take your telling for something else like anger, or the bloodlust of a warrior or crap like that.

@@saphira234 when you start a new game you can decide to go for the origin char th e dark urge its first a dragonborn but you can edit the look from the char how you want. The dark urge also has alot more dialoges compare to a normal tav.

This was one of the only moments i the game that actually brought me to tears, how he's trying to calm you down
