St Francis is the reason I have stayed strong in my faith. It’s my life goal to visit Assisi.
This is a blessing to me. I visited Assisi on New Year’s Eve 1982 and stayed for some days. Illness came calling two years later and I have been unable to return since then. To see these images is the next best thing so they bring me a mixed blessing. One is delight, and the other is pain that I will never see it again or experience the peace which surrounds it.. Thank you Rick and God bless you.
Assisi is deep in my heart. I love Assisi and Francis.

In India, We have a School named after the Great Saint as "St. Francis of D' Assisi High School". I am proud to be a student of the same.
Your videos are better than those of the so called "travel vloggers", you really focus on showing us the beauties of the places you go to.

FYI, the first minute of this video is not from Assisi, but taken at Convento delle Celle (Eremo Le Celle) just outside of Cortona. Definitely worth a quick visit if you are near Cortona.
Saint Francis please pray for me and my family. Thank you ✝️🌹🙏

pope franciscus....., NOT named after Franciscus of Assisi ,..but named after Franciskus Loyola , founder of the dark Jezuït order.

You've confused Francis with Ignatius of Loyola. Several centuries and countries apart.
The non-Catholic Rick Steves is the last person anyone should listen to about St. Francis. He like so many romanticize him & paint a false picture of who St. Francis of Assisi was. And that's exactly what this video is doing. Also... our Catholic Churches are NOT architectural museums. There Churches! But thanks in part to Rick many of the secular tourists walk through the Catholic Churches in Europe as if they are museums showing little respect for God's presence in the tabernacle of the Church. Rick never tells people this. "Woe to them who die in mortal sin; Blessed those who shall find themselves in Thy most holy will, For the second death shall do them no ill.” ~St. Francis of Assisi “And in all the preaching you do, admonish the people concerning penance and that no one can be saved except he that receives the most sacred Body and Blood of the Lord.2 And while It is being sacrificed by the priest on the altar and It is being carried to any place, let all the people on bended knees render praise, honor, and glory to the Lord God Living and True.” ~St. Francis of Assisi
