Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) are people who hold a public function and as a result, present higher risks of being involved in bribery or corruption. Offshore leaks have revealed repeatedly that PEPs use British finance and British offshore jurisdictions to launder their wealth, hide their wealth and re-invest it into the global financial system. London is the place where they buy property, where they take legal action against their critics and where they live when they fall from grace. But what happens when a developing country fights back and attempts to get Britain to return the money that it claims has been stolen? Watch Behind Closed Doors and find out.
Reviews:
"Exposing the bad characters of life is something really BiG because it involves a lot of risk and Arshad paid the price by giving his life but one thing is for sure that his efforts will be rewarded sooner or later.
This documentary is all about Difference in Law system for the rich and poor. Law always helps the rich people in any way possible which itself is a worst thing. Poor people can't buy Law that's why they are the only one's who are affected. Equal Law system for everyone should be the basic rule of any country in order to progress, without this no country can prosper. We should always support truth no matter what."

"I am not reviewer, but this documentary opened my eyes when i watched how far these corrupt dynasties can go to keep their wealth growing on the blood of people who are suffering by the consequences, the most hurtful moment was when i realized that the main character who worked on this documentary was brutaly murdered by the establishment and the sharif family in kenya, And this corrupt mafia's are living in the heart of london his brother is currently a Prime Minister of Pakistan. There is alot to be learnt in this documentary that how the corrupt army officers use their power to fuel their oppression on poor.
If you are a fan of God father series, well this is another documentary on the secilion Mafia.."

Tied with the need to dominate and be the best. Also reliance on authority and others to say what to think and do.
During covid we saw first hand the corrution in the UK . Friends and associates of certain Ministers and MPs made millions from covid PPI contracts at the expense of the Nation. So far no one has been punished. We spent £400 billion and there is no accoutability of where we spent it.

Well done! Expose all these thug life!
It's just so cruel that all the developed nations had pillars built on the humiliation and destruction of poor countries. How they shelter the wealth of criminals just for their own sake. And an important note, the journalist explaining the fraud of the Sharif family, Arshad Bhatti was murdered after this documentary.

For the power it brings. With the capital equating to the GDP of a small country sitting in your offshore accounts, one has enormous clout to do what you please. Either for good or for ill. But human nature tends to lean towards selfishness, rather than altruism.

To be fair, the patriarch was the looter. It so happens that he was a forward planner in a way many of our people simply aren't (the Kirimas and other wealthy families where fights break out upon the patriarch's death immediately come to mind). The rest is sound financial stewardship and use of various tax structures both locally and abroad to manage and grow their wealth through the years.

There was presence of Indians in the colonial structures in British India well. Imperialist could not have done what they did without insider help. Thats why the current govt in India wants to rename India to Bharat - to break completely free from all the past vested interest that ravaged India. But it appears from the video, democratic rule propagated by UK and USA has enabled in moving money from poor countries and pumping it into advanced economies. So is India also now going to follow that path - albiet under the name Bharat..Lets hope our Modiji has some solution to come out of this hopeless trap.

There is no clean or dirty money, MONEY IS JUST MONEY!!!
Oh well, if it didn't go to the British it would be the Americans, Chinese, French or Germans. The money has to go somewhere. It's not the British responsibility to make them give it to their citizens. If you run a restaurant and criminals come to eat you can't say sorry we don't serve you. They will just go to the restaurant across the street. Most buisness don't actively turn away buisness. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Very astute observation. More times than not if a darker skinned person is speaking on British TV...there will be subtitles if the person doesn't have a perfect BBC/Queen's English accent. However if a white person is speaking...with say, a very thick Liverpudlian/Scouse accent...or a very thick Glasgow accent...this will not get subtitles as a rule.

Yes, it can be difficult, but it isn’t always the case, it’s usually because of their broad accent, you’ll find the same comparison across a number of individuals and it happens a great deal closer to home as well, Scotland would probably be a prime example and I think it’s closely associated with the phonetic differences of a given word in their given language as well.
