La bomba hidráulica sirve para ayudar a instalar el piñón. El eje tiene una perforación y permite que el aceite llega a la ranura que tiene el eje en su perímetro. Allí si instala el piñón y expande el agujero interno para que el piñón entre

They put a shim in between the lobes and once the gears are tight on the shaft the pump is correctly timed. The shims will have a precise measurement.

What is the standard size of shim plate.

They put shims according to the clearance between lobs then lock the lobe by wood and mounted other grear with hydraulic pressure.
