Every ac game is good, unlike every ea and activision game. This game is just Valhalla in Japan, with improved graphics, combat, parkour, mechanics, and brand new animations for everything. I spent over 300 hours playing Valhalla. If shadows lives up to the hype it will be well worth the preorder.

Red flags in Assassins Creed Shadows. 1. Having an historical figure as a main character over an original character. 2. Having a main character not from the culture and region. 3. Using Chinese themed buildings for Sengoku period Japan. Like how do they mess this up? It reminds me of the Puerto Rican/Cuban flag fiaso that happened TWICE in Insomniac Spiderman. 4. Ubisoft working with Sweet Baby Inc for the game. 5. The very likely girl boss approach they will go with Naoe is noticeable. 6. Your entire comment is wrong. He is not gay. In real life or in game. You can interact with naoe’s love interests playing as Yasuke, and vice versa. If you did any actual research instead of listening to KZreadrs who dropped out of high school, you would know that he actually was a samurai. He was nobunagas close friend, he trained as a samurai, and he received a samurai stipend. Nobunaga was so impressed with his skill that he gave him land and a high ranking position in the government. Hope that clears things up.😊

Nobunaga invited Yasuke to dine with him and Yasuke was allowed to enter Nobunagas quarters. Servants or “pets” were not allowed to do either. Dining with oda was reserved for people he respected and liked the most. Yasuke fought in 2 battles as a warrior. A Japanese lord alive at the time stated in his journal Yasuke was awarded a warriors stipend. These were only given to samurai. Stop erasing history and spreading misinformation. You are just wrong. Black fragility is at an all time high

I used to love the AC franchise. I've bought every game released since the original blew me away with the awesome atmosphere, gameplay, deep character journey and the mysterious storyline. Things started going down hill for me when Ubisoft got rid of Desmond Miles character arc, and all of a sudden Abstergo went from being a dark powerful templar organisation to some weird ass Apple consumerist experience where customers could experience the Animus and explore their ancestors (not a bad twist, nor an unrealistic tactic for the nefarious Templars ...but even then the Assassin's vs. the Templars theme appeared to be getting watered down). I was excited to see the open world experience of Origins, but put the game down because of the ridiculous "boss" fight system they injected into it. The Assassins became The Hidden Ones, and the Templars obviously didn't exist in the timeline at that point as the game is a prequel ...so they were instead some badly drawn nefarious order made up of random poorly written villains. I bought Odyssey afterwards, forced myself to play it for a while but also put the game down with zero interest completing it. Valhalla was then surely a big return to the game's fundamental experience ...nope! That's when I seriously felt like I was being taken for a sucker. That game was boring as fuck also, but now thr DEI weirdos had black, asian and indian VIKINGS and settlers in my VIKING village in England. It forced me out the authentic historical experience that I'd originally fell in love with the franchise for in the games. Put that game down with ZERO interest in the story, or exploration. I bought Mirage after watching the trailers giving me the impression it was a welcome return to the original format of the gameplay and the middle eastern setting. Unfortunately the story and characters are just as fkn lifeless and uninteresting as the previously mentioned games, though it was at least minus the Dark Souls BS gameplay. I forced myself to buy Odyssey and Valhalla out of loyalty and in hope one would be better than the last. I bought Mirage because it was advertised as a return to a more familiar AC experience. If I do play Shadows, it'll be at least 3/4 years from it's release when I'm not getting ripped off financing this DEI BS. Meanwhile, I'll just have to figure out how I can play Ghost of Tsushima despite not being a playstation gamer!

Don't forget Ubislop is ALSO locking some missions behind a day one paywall. If you don't buy at least a season pass version you CAN NOT PLAY THE FULL GAME. They are doing the samething in Star W arz Out Lawz.

I also don't think he'd have that hair style back then. If anything he'd have his hair similar to styles of the period. He might as well have a mohawk since they aren't even trying for historical accuracy. And why not have him riding a dinosaur. It's history.

Game Developer/Systems Designer in the industry here. (NOT for AC or Ubisoft, to clarify.) Most of even the major companies realize the DEI/Woke movement was a mistake, and are pivoting away as fast as possible. The issue is that most AAA games take 5-7 years on average to make (yes, even most, but not all, Assassin's Creed games.) So this is likely the "oh god...we messed up...just push it out, the paying audience has spoken" phase, aka the last dying gasps of the woke movement. At least that's my experience, even from a few years ago until today. We can ONLY hope...(progressivism is good, tokenism for profit is gross)

Good. And it shouldn't just be all or mostly about Yasuke's controversial inclusion as a primary protagonist, but Ubisoft as a company and their shitty monetization pricing practices.

(LOL) If they are going to feature an assassin, they should use hidden clans like the Imbe clan, Kamo clan, or Hata clan rather than Yasuke. The theory that the Hata clan are ancient Israelites fits perfectly with Assassin's Creed and ties in with the story of Assassin's Creed 1! Given that Nobunaga is connected to the Imbe clan, it would make sense if they based the story on that.

This is a strong contender to topple the worst flopps like The Last of Us 2 and CP77, gotta admit that's a hard to achieve performance

Yasuke wasn’t a samurai. He was a glorified exotic pet. This was a common practice in almost all cultures for lords and nobles, it made you seem more worldly and experienced. Something that was important if you wanted to be taken seriously by other lords and nobles. 🤷🏼‍♂️

This happens every year with creed peeps call it out by sheeple still buy it even tho it ain’t been assassins creed for about a decade

You can't buy complete editions, cause it's UBI there is an ingame cash shop with gameplay relevant stuff in it and game mechanics build specifically to nudge you in this ingame shop, like long and boring grind for upgrade materials, or you go in the shop and buy full upgraded stuff, or time gated grind you can only get one thing per week, or you go in the shop and just buy a similar, often even better version. Even the 150€$ Version of Valhalla is not "complete" cause there are still lots of armor sets and weapons, with shop exclusive perks and designs, in the ingame cash shop and to buy them all you need to pay hundreds of €$ cause the price anchor for 1 armor set is ~20€$. Nearly nobody talk about this extrem scummy predator monetization schemes UBI uses since Odyssey (with some foreshadowing how bad it will get in the games since Unity).

Farcry3 : blood dragon and R6 vega 2. Thats it. Thats the only desent games that came out of ubisoft in 20 years.

There is a serious push to make black males gay in media. Eric from Sex Education, Captain Holt from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Mister Terrific from Arrow, Titus from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Lando Calrissian, Tom Swift and the list goes on. Wtf is Hollywood pushing this?

Correction. Assassins Creed is #1 and #2 in pre orders in Japan. The $110 version is #2 Ubisoft made a statement that they are surprised at how good the pre orders are. Online sentimentality is not important for sales. Example: Stellar Blade only sold 60k in Japan its first 2 weeks. It didnt sell shit.

Well you see it was a translation error oda nobunaga was not really naming him yasuke he was in fact trying to tell him "you suck me" because he was oda nobunaga bitch and well oda nobunaga said he can have anything and he wanted some dark chocolate if you catch my meaning.
