Yasuke's anime already pulled it off. No point complaining, at least since it's Yasuke-inspired we basically have a free pass to see Nobunaga Oda. Also go watch Shogūn and Last Samurai. The Japanese fucking love stories of foreigners in the 1600-1800's.

@@JorRaptor Origins was a really good starting place for the RPG’s, but I think the later games embraced the RPG part too much and left too many of the AC elements behind. I want a game with the tone, groundedness, and intensity of Origins, the character builds of Odyssey, and the stealth, parkour, and tools of Mirage

@@David-nq8cv Oh, that’s a little disappointing. I didn’t know that. I like a lot of what Odyssey did, but I don’t like story choices in AC, and the game was just far too big and bloated. I still don’t like Syndicate though.

As someone who’s enjoyed all the AC games I’ve played (old style and new), I’m excited about the likely (big??🤞🏻) jump in graphics, movement, and gameplay from the new engine. Having the Syndicate/Odyssey team on it is definitely a BIG plus for me too. Can’t wait for the trailer and all the announcements to come! Thanks for covering it all Jorr! 👍🏻

Can't believe its been 4 years since the last mainline AC game with Valhalla, time sure flies lets hope they cooked with this one and actually deliver a good final product.

This game is going to be crazy beautiful. The ancient trilogy looked phenomenal and that was on both consoles. This game being only next gen is going to be insane. I literally cannot wait!!

So much hype. Cinematic trailers are always my favourite part of the pre-launch cycle. That rumoured November release date is pretty cool, plenty of time to complete and platinum Star Wars Outlaws before it then. Might also indicate that they're permanently moving to a November release for new ACs? Syndicate, Origins, Odyssey and Mirage were all October, Valhalla was November.

Of course, the season pass is already known even though the game hasn't even been properly announced. and of course there will be over 200+ micro payments again, all of which are better than the in-game stuff and JorRaptor will celebrate it. Rise of the Ronin and especially Ghost of Tsushima 2 is everything Smaurai Japan fans need. Especially since there are no micropayments here.

Super excited for the game itself, but I'm very skeptical about the Infinity hub and the whole microtransaction thing. I hope that it doesn't turn out to be that bad, but I'm already not liking the exclusive daily cosmetics which is like "forcing people to get the items otherwise you'll never get them again" kinda thing

@francescofioroni70 Actually, we don't know if it's the same system Origins/Odyssey/Valhalla has. Those games use an in-game currency to buy cosmetics for a limited time in the in-game store. But you can also buy the full cosmetics outside of the game using real-life money via Helix at any given moment and time. The exclusive cosmetic daily time-limit for Infinity Hub sounds like it's only real-life money and only for a limited time. Big difference here my friend.

Without Infinity you won't be able to play Shadows or any future game so it's not just about daily cosmetics and store items.

Sub is fine, however, it should only be for older AC games. And I really hope we can just buy the latest ones and not need to be sub to play them. As for the items, I hope they are usable in all new AC games. The sub thing could just be the AC version of seasons but gives things for all new AC games. Here's hoping.

@@SliferStreaming Eivor’s stealth is clumsy. I never said you couldn’t be stealthy, but it’s a lot worse than in Odyssey. With Kassandra I could easily stealth or just rush in and destroy everyone.

I loved odyssey. Valhalla combat was really good. Hopefully they keep that gruesome combat system

They really have to prove themselves for sure, but this team did Odyssey and Immortals both were really great so I have hope

the parkour HAS to be wayyy better than the past 3 rpg style games. if it’s not, i’m not buying it

Well I have to admit that I'm actually hyped since the news got out. But I won't buy the game until I have a pretty good picture of the game as a whole. I won't make the same mistake as I did with Valhalla.

I hope it's good and they don't double down on live service elements like we saw hints of in Valhalla and they don't double down on microtransactions, but I have incredibly low expectations.

The one thing I hate when people curse about Valhalla is how well they actually did for the theme... Like... Yea its a Viking game for sure and stealth is just not the primary way of being a Viking... Sure they could have gone a few different routes with it but damn for the theme they did a great job... What annoyed me the most about Valhalla tho is how many unncessary riddles there are... Like every second minor chest is hidden weirdly in a weirdly locked house with just a single way in as if nobody owned it... But Food cooking etc... Either way I really expect a lot of Shadows with how it was teased to me in the past by my formor work buddy and I know it will be one of the best titles of the series by far already... No spoilers from my side but I have seen a few more pictures from development that really made me excited and miss my job... Either way soon my own Project will come to life ^^

Most annoying thing in Valhalla for me was that there are 0 open field battles. Like come on that should’ve been mandatory for the game. Like odyssey but better. Not to mention how disappointing the siege of Paris was. It was a 6vs6 battle. It’s a joke tbh.

Can't wait to play it in about 18mnths when it's around 20 bucks or less on sale.

I really enjoyed Odyssey. Put about 250 hours into it. Finished it and even got pretty far in my second playthrough. Valhalla I enjoyed less so. I put 150 hours into it and still haven’t even beat the main story. I am enjoying it but the pacing just feels way too slow and not enough interesting things are happening to hold my attention. Hopefully this new game is different.
